Pretty annoying that there's a new version of VS Code every week now.

@forteller which phanpy instance is this? Does it still show broken images after refresh or hard refresh?

We've released DrFed 0.1.0, the first version of the ActivityPub development and debugging tool I'm building with the team. It's still an MVP: you can create test instances and actors, and inspect incoming activities. I wouldn't call it a particularly useful debugger yet. We wanted to share […]

Chee Aun's top picks in the 2027 Web Platform Feature Ranking:

1. CSS @supports at-rule().
2. OpaqueRange for form controls.
3. Sanitizer API, via document.parseHTML() and element.setHTML().

🆕 blog! “I paid people to try and follow my README” Developers suck at writing documentation. We like to say RTFM but often there ain't no FM to R. At best we have a half-arsed collection of notes, some obsolete tips, and a link to a desolate forum full of people asking the same questions again […]

@django @betula to be honest, I'm not quite sold on this idea. I would rather have a super-good (semantic?) search on bookmarks than spending time on organizing bookmarks. Also it can get annoying when you spent time organising and some of them are gone due to being deleted/reported (this […]

🤔 2 cents: - "Bookmark" saves a *reference* but it gives the impression that you need to organize them later. - "Save" saves a *copy* but it gives the impression that you can just look it up later. - Logically, “Save” sounds wrong because saved posts are kinda ephemeral — they can be edited […]

🐛 Another version with a bug fix just released github.com/cheeaun/phanpy/releases/… Possibly affecting users on iOS 26.5/27 onwards; attaching media via the menu in composer wasn't working (attaching via button works).

Odd 100% CPU usage. Not sure how I triggered it but a quick search found this: "Notification centre freezes up if i open it and scroll down" www.reddit.com/r/MacOS/comments/1rv… #macOS27

A macOS Activity Monitor window shows “Notification Centre (Not Responding)” using 100.1% CPU, with related notification processes listed below.

Updated Xcode, downloaded the whole iOS simulator image (~8GB), and iPhone Duo is not in the list. According to Reddit (www.reddit.com/r/iOSProgramming/com…), it's "coming later this month" and probably have to wait for Xcode 27.1

@Andres4NY thanks, debugging this is a bit difficult when it doesn't happen on my side 🙇‍♂️. It could be due to the content of some posts in your timeline too like video or something, e.g. HDR videos used to hang my Chrome for few seconds previously 😅
