Australian immigration suddenly a real consideration given England appears to be full of morons or racists that vote Reform.

3 years. 90 sessions. 15 PC’s, Some npc romances, few dead traders, a much forgotten pet owl, a never forgotten frog, countless enemies defeated, a few dramatic moments, dozens of (too easy) puzzles, multiple main quest pivots” and one bunch of unpredictable friends. The first D&D campaign is over.

Good. AI should be used to do the shit people hate. Not take away the joy of creative projects.

FoxNFL using Fall Out Boys “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark” for the replays. What year is it ?

*Spends evening world building and character creating with my D&D players* Right that’s done let’s open social media and see what’s new … Okay so back to D&D chat anyone? 😅

Started gym again after relying on football and a bike for years. It’s really hitting home how neglected the upper half of my body is. Years of Football mean my legs recover in one sleep but my shoulders and chest are still sore 2 days after lifting to failure.

Ya can’t even google a town square to put as the background in your D&D session anymore without the result being AI and you don’t even realise until your players point out the bullshit architecture 😂

Thoroughly enjoyed a lot of the F1 movie, it’s over the top with what’s allowed in modern F1 but I loved the ride.

Tbh I don’t know enough about the legal side to even try to discuss it. The whole thing is a mess. And it’s only just starting, he may be proven innocent. He might be guilty. We just don’t know and it’s hard to know what to think.

000

Chaz @chazjs.bsky.social · 05/07/2025

This is all said with the caveat that it’s inconsequential how I feel about a football team in the grand scheme of this situation.

010

Chaz @chazjs.bsky.social · 05/07/2025

This situation with Arsenal has not left my head. If - a huge if - he is proven innocent, the club can just about justify their actions. Even then the desire to renew the contract is questionable. If he’s guilty and they protected him, the club is no longer a place I see my values reflected.

I am struggling to know what answers anyone can give that leads to anything besides immediate dismissal. If they knew, there’s no excuse. The only case would be if they had been given evidence to the contrary that’s now proved to be false maybe?

tricked my D&D players into agreeing to a cyberpunk 2077 mini campaign just so I have to reinstall the game and start a new playthrough. 😎 Judy I’m on my way.

I played Pro Clubs on EAFC/FIFA at a competitive level for years. I have played thousands of hours of that game mode alone. I watch, read, listen or play football every day. Rematch is simply the best football game ever made. Give the devs all the money and all the licences.

Expedition 33 is the most incredible story with the most frustrating gameplay I’ve ever seen. I don’t wanna learn enemy patterns. I don’t wanna parry. I don’t wanna dodge. Hoping this does not become normal in turn based games. I’m going to watch the last act of Exp33 instead of playing it

000

Chaz @chazjs.bsky.social · 06/05/2025

On it being a lesser experience. I think it’s impossible to deliver the same experience between the mediums. Nothings going to make the audience feel that level of conflict holding the controller in California, in the same way a game couldn’t make hate Walter White whilst still cheering for him.

010

Chaz @chazjs.bsky.social · 06/05/2025

Interesting, I felt the show used that scene as the moment to show shen Dina first finds herself Truly falling for Ellie. Then those feelings were confirmed it later in the theatre. It’s definitely not retelling things the same way the game did, I appreciate your thoughts.

010

Chaz @chazjs.bsky.social · 06/05/2025

I am sad it’s not hitting right for you though! It sounds like the changes to adapt it to TV aren’t working for you, and tbh I feel it is near impossible to recreate the emotional swing the game performs on you, because a big part is that you’re put in control. It’s a special experience.

110

Chaz @chazjs.bsky.social · 06/05/2025

I think games allow for much slower pacing in terms of character development and give you hours and hours of little moments as you’re exploring and playing that is definitely missing. I don’t feel like we know Ellie or Dinah anywhere near as much as we did in the game I agree.

110

Chaz @chazjs.bsky.social · 06/05/2025

I don’t think Future Days is being ignored, it’s just a device you want to have a big hit. I think we’ll see it in a flashback and it’ll have the emotional impact there. Re: the pacing, I actually think they’ve gone as slow as you can in a tv show to keep the audience interested-

200

Chaz @chazjs.bsky.social · 06/05/2025

Of course I am someone who prefers film & TV for narratives, and TLOU2 is the only game I’ve ever played that I think is on the same level as the best of those mediums.

000

Chaz @chazjs.bsky.social · 06/05/2025

And therefore any adaptation of it is going to be lesser, particularly as the narrative “trick” of the game is so reliant on you being on the sticks. As an adaptation of the destructive cycle of hatred that the game represents I think it’s doing a good job so far.

110

Chaz @chazjs.bsky.social · 06/05/2025

I’m intrigued what you think is missing? I think it’s picking deliberate moments from the game to highlight major character development moments and trying to allow the actors to shine in those scenes. I think the games storytelling is only rivalled by the very best in the film and tv mediums.

210

Chaz @chazjs.bsky.social · 27/04/2025

Starting Expedition 33 and being thrown straight into meeting another Jennifer English voiced character is not fair when I’m also trying to NOT romance Shadowheart in my 7th BG3 playthrough.

My enjoyment of Oblivion is heavily relying on nostalgia I’m sure, but it also feels like such a refreshing rpg game that has an incredible world there to explore. It’s been 14 years since an elder scrolls game. Fallout & Starfield have blood on their hands.

Top tip to all DM’s. Give your party a way to teleport to other dimensions randomly. It Never catches you off guard or unprepared. Unrelated.. my party are going to start next session fighting the Moon Presence from Bloodborne. (They’re grossly underleveled)
