This has been a much more fun #Bama game to watch.

Ok, I need to not let this stuff annoy me as much as it does. I get tired of my club being ignored by those who work, write, and talk about lower-league soccer. But ASA does good work and has data on MLS Next Pro, which is more than I can say for most of those who cover lower-league soccer.

Well, this is a neat idea. If only they recognized the Chattanooga Football Club actually exists.

This won't end until Democrats control congress, add process for the giving and removing of TPS, and allow for judicial review of these executive actions.

Yesterday's drama re-emphasises this point I made at half-time. Burnley may be 19th and Crystal Palace may rest players ahead of their European final, but no football match is won before it's played. Two games to go, full focus needs to be on winning the next one.

Oh man, if Arsenal see this through and win the league, I am going to shitpost for a fucking month solid. I'm so tired of the shit I've been reading about the club for the last several years.

If this deal represents the beginnings of a change in that philosophy at mls level, I see no reason why it can't work (at least as well as some usl orgs).

000

usl delenda est @chattagooner.bsky.social · 12/05/2026

It doesn't take any more or less work for a locally managed MLSNP team to create that connection than it does a usl org. Ex: Huntsville vs Corpus Christi It is just that, in the past, mls orgs had no interest in spending time and money on those connections.

110

usl delenda est @chattagooner.bsky.social · 12/05/2026

I keep hearing from you and other LLS supporters that it's impossible for a "2 team" to develop meaningful connections to a community. I think that's just wrong. It's all up to the money and time spent by that organization, and that is the same no matter what league they're in.

Recent panic that the Supreme Court might soon overturn marriage equality is unwarranted—the justices are highly unlikely to take up the case that has people worried. And this freak-out risks diverting attention away from the court's subtler, ongoing attack on gay rights. slate.com/news-and-pol...

Kim Davis’ case will not be the vehicle the court uses to eradicate the equal dignity of same-sex couples.

Korbin knows how to self-sabotage on and off the field. Off the field, all she had to do was not “like” homophobic comments. On the field, she’s moving to OL, who don’t need her and based on recent form is going to struggle to get on the field. Her USWNT career may be done, which is good.

It's nice when the people trying to launch soccer ventures actually like soccer and also don't condescendingly farm attention. Also, I think this partnership with Bsky is important to keep developing this space as a place for community outside of the nazis

I bet most have no idea that they’ve only been away from professional soccer for a couple of years. And it’s only now that they suddenly warrant coverage.

What is the scope of coverage? Since it’s American soccer, I assume it will mostly cover, mls, nwsl, and the national teams. But will y’all also cover the various usl leagues or MLSNP? Any amateur coverage outside of the open cup?
