Fun Fact: According to Purrloin and Liepard's dex entry in Galar, it has a heated rivalry with Nickit and Thievul However, unlike other pokemon rivalries, this rivalry is never mentioned in Nickit and Thievul's entries, making it a very confusing and alarming one sided beef.

Taxes, while not literally or soberly saying this at all, forced Contessa and Thatch to confront each other more directly about their feelings for each other while scolding them. I just couldn't get this joke out of my head so this is how Taxes is depicting how that went down.

Immediately after Koren used Comet Punch, Taxes copied the Comet Punch and got a crit, so they completely mogged on that Clefable together

Unfortunately, Koren is still completely justafiably pissed at Taxes, even if he's genuinely become kinder and more heroic, so he could not enjoy the really cool moment

They also both Brick Break'd a Lycanrock, despite everything they've become extremely in sync together in combat

Koren sitting injured in the shadow of Taxes, who is looking off into the sunset after trying to apologize to him. Seeing that he still has rage in him and words were failing, Taxes instead opted to subtlely challenge Koren insead, goating him into giving into his rage and gaining the strength he needs to survive with the world around them in ruin and uncertainty.
