They aren't allowed on the furniture in the house. But they are free to enjoy the old couch in the barn. And they take advantage whenever they can.

Feeling sad for our local killdeer. They built a nest near our barn, right in the gravel and sand (can you see the eggs?). Alas, the crows got em. I wonder if the killdeer will try again.

In the middle of gray gravel there are a few speckled eggs that look almost like rocks. They blend in well.
