I started tonight's @lthechat.bsky.social EXHAUSTED. I almost messaged @dradamtate.bsky.social and asked him to take the lead but 20 minutes in & the conversation made me forget my headache, 40 minutes in & I'm full of ideas, 60 minutes & I'm contentedly enthused. Thank you all #socialmediacpd

I get this too, "I'm an adult, why are you making me do this" then 30 minutes later, "oh this is so much fun!"

A2 - I try to distrubute roles according to ability knowing that the harder/more challenging parts are going to the 'right' learner. Doesn't always pan out the way I expect and takes time to get to know the student group you're with #lthechat @lthechat.bsky.social

A1 - I've often gone straight in with Lego for thinking with teaching philosophies and whilst it has been very successful with some, I do wonder if I would have had a better, more inclusive experience if I had built up to it #lthechat @lthechat.bsky.social

I took a screen shot of the spines of these books and sent it to my in laws as a wish list for my birthday. Very excited to see which ones they pick and then delve into the stories ❤️

What do you do with a lot of cheap banners hanging from motorway bridges once you’ve torn them down?

Do you think mental health first aid should form part of mandatory training for educators?

100

Charlotte Marshall @charlottemarshall.bsky.social · 08/10/2025

That's something that is so hard to rely on though isn't it, I often find myself second guessing if I got it right in the moment

A1: I think there are expectations that all needs can be met by the facilitator/practitioner through adjustments etc. It might be controversial but I'm not sure that it can (or should be) 😬

I wonder if it is left because there is a reverence towards mental health - leaving it to people who are more trained, experienced, or equipped?

A1: that it is viewed as an enrichment activity and is often left to support services to manage #lthechat

Does a picture paint a 1,000 words or does it do something entirely different? I had a go at something a bit different to play with language at September's Research Methods Rendezvous. The nerves were real but so was Sophie Woodward's kindness. #nrm heyteachonline.wordpress.com/2025/09/30/i...

Today, I virtually attended #ICRMC25 In addition to phenomenal presentations, I've been astounded by the care extended to the online community - this hybrid event has set the bar high! I've sewn, collaged, painted, and doodled throughout. I am mentally exhausted in the best way #perfect
