She seems to see Le Tissier in the same vein and uses her the same way, but she's not Lucy Bronze (no one is). If Wiegman continues beyond the world cup, it'll be interesting to see if/how this evolves, because I think the FB setup is very much designed around Bronze at the moment.

There are a few knocking about Wiegman just doesn't seem bothered. Right back belongs to Bronze as long as she is available and I don't think she cares who plays at left back because if Bronze is playing they're essentially functioning like a third CB, hence why she's happy to play Greenwood there

Interested to see whether that evolves into a new look midfield with either LBB next to Walsh or Potter gets the nod if she can keep her place in the Chelsea team with Cuthbert coming back and continue improving. Could be the refresh this team needs.

Catching up on the highlights from last night, several observations: Laurens Hemp & James, absolutely unplayable Really liked Stanway in the more advanced role, made sense to try Potter alongside Walsh as it's been working well for Chelsea but she seemed to struggle at times

I also don't actually think beyond Hemp, LBB and Walsh any of that first XI are in particularly sparkling form. We had one striker in the squad who we subbed off. As you say happy with job done really and hope for better tomorrow. They always seem to perform quite well at the KP (someone's got to).

The other team is allowed to be up for it - they want to qualify for the world cup too. People bemoan "pointless" games where we steamroll the opponent and don't learn anything, then crash out if we don't blow a team away based on FIFA rankings

We had introduced some different personnel that don't play together that often - namely LBB and MLT who were trying to combine down the right. We even tried some new things with pushing Walsh further forward (as that's her new thing)
