Stop growing corn for ethanol. Put solar panels in the deserts of the Southwest, and grow alfalfa in the cornfields currently being used for ethanol in Iowa and Nebraska. This is so straightforward it’s frustrating there’s no chance of it happening.

My ultimate take here is that as a society we have absolutely no idea how silo’d we all are, and that’s a huge problem going forward as the oligarchs who own media leverage this. “How could you not hear this thing that seems ubiquitous” is someone completely not understanding this.

Specifically, there was a massive resistance against the Iranian regime. The US didn’t get involved until after the regime murdered as much of the resistance as they could, and so clumsily it built support for it. This is after Trump tore up the agreement preventing them from getting nukes.

Trump was *extremely* invested in reprogramming! He was too invested in programming at the Kennedy center, it’s something he cares a lot more about than actually running the country. His issue was that no one wanted to perform there once he overhauled it. I hate how terrible the Post is now.

I try to realize all of this has happened before, and not make extreme proclamations, but it genuinely feels like society hates teenagers more than it ever has, or at least more than it has in my lifetime. The movie theater doesn’t allow kids under 16 after 6 without an adult with them!
