That's defensible. I tend to mentally rewrite all of Star Trek in terms of DS9 but TNG Ferengi weren't great. DS9 did a lot to flesh out some clowny starting materials.

I would have preferred to see Karp's claim interrogated more thoroughly instead of accepting it at face value. He's a big tech CEO and absolutely deserves skepticism. I'm less sure that the effects of AI on humanities-educated careers are going to be clear cut or uniform.
