personally disappointed in people talking about ZSNES like it's not just a program you can install and run today. It's not ancient history, and even if it was, you could emulate it. also, why the blurry static JPEG? GIVE ME ANIMATED SNOW.

Why was PS1 adventure Kowloon's Gate a nightmare to hack? Why could machine translation never come close to giving this game the English localization it deserves? Here's @hilltopworks.bsky.social and @cargodin.bsky.social going deep on a very special game and fan translation.

So, "Schrödinger no neko" isn't up your alley? How about a fully 3D JRPG about an amnesiac siren? This is "Shinkai densetsu Meremanoid". Already hacked the thing, got a half-width font, script dumped, the whole kit and caboodle. Ping me if you know Japanese and want to translate it!

Yeah, sure, why not? #9Games It was very hard choosing just nine, but these are probably the ones that shaped me the most and I have incredibly fond memories of all of them.

"Duck Tales 2" on the Famicom, "Sonic CD" on the Sega CD, "Shining Force 2" on the Sega Genesis, "Sim Tower" and "Limbo" on PC, "Final Fantasy VII" and "Wonder Trek" on the PS1, and "Katamari Damacy" and "ICO" on the PS2.
