We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers. The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.

Machines (Computers) only do what they are told to do? Who would have guessed? Honestly, the whole "AI" thing is way too overrated/overhyped. As much as "AI" can be helpful, it stills often Hallucinate, especially when you ask it something very specific.

I spent like 3 days trying to load a texture onto the procedural mesh... Material kept showing as plain White... I just clicked on the object and noticed I set a Material Override with Plain White Albedo Colour... I feel like an Idiot right now xD #Godot #IndieGameDev #SoloGameDev

Started new project. It may not be anything impressive so far... but managed to procedurally generate a Mesh! xD Its model is read from a file (in this case, it fails locate the model and read "Default" Model). #Godot #IndieGameDev #SoloGameDev
