They had to muzzle this fearsome beast to give her shots. I didn't get to see it but it's funny to imagine her snarling and slavering like a Rottweiler or somesuch.

She's been dozing my lap for about an hour. Longest she's gone without hustling to the litter box for a day or so. Taking this as a good sign. I could use a nap of my own, though.

No urine to test for a UTI but nothing alarming on an ultrasound. She got the anti-inflammatory and and antibiotic. And a rabies shot for good measure. Poor baby.

"How close are you?" has like zero meaning when you're legally blind and can't drive. Could be ten minutes, could be ten thousand miles.

Come in and we'll see her as soon as we can, says the vet. Heading off at ten. Wish us luck.
