Also, according to the guy behind me in line, this isn't a bad line at all. I guess I'm just so used to getting here early enough to be super close to the front that I have no sense of how many people generally board.

LOOOOL my Amtrak train is delayed until 11:10am now. I cannot even.

Oh my god I made it. We haven't started boarding yet but I think that'll happen in like 1-2 minutes. Or maybe it already has, IDK, the line is disgustingly long and I've never been at the back of it before.

And the SEPTA app shows it arriving at 10:32am, which means I'm genuinely going to have like 5 minutes before my Amtrak train arrives if SEPTA doesn't get delayed further. 😭

Like, I understand that these messages have to be repeated really often in case someone is just arriving at the station and hasn't heard it yet but they're definitely not helping my anxiety over missing my train to NYC.

I was considering driving and parking down by the station today, since I'll get home after the last train back here from 30th Street and train there + Lyft home is basically the same amount as parking. Decided against it because I didn't want to leave earlier than I'd need to for the train. 😑

Seeing Paranormal Activity in NYC tomorrow evening. The cheapest train ticket from Philly gets me there way too early (like before 12:30pm), but tomorrow is also an anniversary screening of Moonlight at AMC theaters, so I'm going to use my free afternoon to see that for $0! Thanks, A-List. :D

Got my vaccine appointment scheduled for tomorrow since I'll be home in time now! I'm going to NYC on Thursday to see Paranormal Activity, so I was originally going to do my vaccines on Friday (gotta have that recovery day), but my change of plans this week means I'll get to do them sooner. ☺️

I did manage to get a bunch of stuff packed into the car and feel not terrible about what's left, so it wasn't a totally wasted trip. But ugh, I'm so annoyed.

So I did feel better enough to leave today and am now in a hotel, finally, but the guy who's buying dad's car is still waiting on the check for me, so that's not done. And it took him absolutely forever to get back to me, so I didn't get to leave until almost 4pm. 😔

My stupid body continues to thwart all of my plans. I was supposed to have the people who are helping with my parents' house come over today to help with final stuff so I can pack the last bits up and go home tomorrow, but I have a migraine and I'm super nauseous, so I guess I'm coming back again.

It's really good! I'd definitely recommend it if you're ever someplace that sells it. They have a locator on their website for where you can buy it, and apparently there are even places in Portland that sell it!

It's a soda! It's like a cherry flavor but there's more layers to it than just that. It's a southern US only thing (originated in North Carolina) and I always get some when I'm down here.

However, the Bojangles near my parents' house has paper straws, which we all know are of the devil. I finished my drink before my straw died, but it was kind of a close thing.

Happy to report that I did end up getting Cheerwine later in the day, and it was delicious.

Stopped to get breakfast this morning at what I think is perhaps the busiest Bojangles in the known universe. There are so many cars in this drive-thru! Good thing day 2 of my drive is somehow like 4.5 hours instead of 6.

It's pretty empty, so I have a seat to myself and very few people around me, but I did also just have to walk through a car where a grown man was hacking up a lung while not covering his mouth in the slightest. Gross, dude.

My train is like 20 minutes late, which, like this morning, is not terrible because the regional rail train to my apartment doesn't leave until like 40 minutes after the train's original scheduled arrival time in Philly. Delays working out in my favor today!

I'm accidentally chilling next to the theatre exit and people are out here waiting for their friends/family who are in the ensemble. So many "you were amazing!"s. 💜

I am not going to be over David's death scene from so close any time soon. The way he looks at Michael and Star! The look of acceptance on his face when he falls! Ali Louis Bourzgui, the man you are!! 😭😭😭

Act 2 was incredible as per usual. Genuinely feel like those If We Make It Through The Night harmonies fixed me a little bit.

Incredible! I could see everyone's faces for the whole chase. Star is having so much fun riding with David, it's adorable!

I am utterly baffled and impressed to report that the lighting is so well done that you can't see Michael's wires at the beginning of Belong to Someone, even from this close. It's genuinely magical.

This shot is a slightly better look at just how close I am to the stage. Some stuff is obstructed, but it's absolutely worth it for all the amazing little set details I can see.

Intermission! I fucking love this show so much, y'all. The harmonies are like a shot of serotonin injected directly into my veins. I'm so happy. 🥰

The people next to me have never seen this show and I honestly feel a little bad for them because these seats are obstructed view (I've heard the biggest issue is seeing the second floor of the Emerson house), but hopefully they have an amazing time anyway.
