I mostly hear these guys from my house rather than encounter them on the street, but this day and the next I saw two of the west Henrico offenders. One is a blue Focus ST with a roof rack and silver/chrome wheels; the other is a gold BMW M4 with the license plate "M4LOL".

Dark blue Ford Focus ST with the aforementioned accoutrements. Its four windows are down and you can just make out the poofy head of its driver in the shadows.

I went into the nearby woods to try to find a lady's lost cat. I didn't succeed, but I did find a little woodsy solace near my house. And dead stuffies.

I used Merlin for three minutes on my deck yesterday while drinking coffee. It kept doing some secret bullshit in the background for *fifteen hours* and drained the phone's battery bigly. I don't know why apps are even allowed to do things like this, but it's grounds for deletion. 😡

While on a front porch in Kitty Hawk last night listening to the ocean crashing about 200 feet away, this presumed meteor showed up in the sky. The picture does it no justice at all; I could see its orange flames roiling as it slowly passed overhead and soon petered out.

A big, slow-moving meteor buzzes into Earth's atmosphere and burns up in an orange tail. A smattering of stars can be seen as well as some gray clouds.

Perhaps Wikipedia's XTools should be enabled by default. It's a bit cluttery and requires extra queries to run, but it's cool to see, e.g., that 389 people have worked on the page for "ain't". It feels more communal and real. It might subconsciously raise societal trust in Wikipedia over time.
