Sometimes I think about that time on iCarly where they parodied the then new iPad by making it comically large. A joke that only makes sense if you were around when iPads were new and people thought they were too big and unnecessary.

My main laptop is out of commission for a bit so I'm using this old one I dug out of storage. It's a 17 year old Dell Latitude e6400 with a core 2 duo and 3 gigs of ram running the latest debian. Honestly I've had way worse times with way newer computers.

I've seen "offline kits" with dedicated cameras, books, & iPods & it's a neat idea. You can save some money by using an old phone with no internet connection. This 10 year old phone is too terrible to do more than play music but I don't need it to. It even has Bluetooth & a headphone jack.

Double update: Important to note about 2 years ago I nearly completely cut caffeine out of my diet. If I have more than a very small amount I end up feeling awful. Friends the amount of Baja blast I drank had almost twice as much caffeine as a red bull. Today should be fun™.

Fun fact for anyone who plays #DeadbyDaylight The pocket entity charm was designed by my sister for a contest. She found and sent me her initial sketches. She wanted to call it the Enti-tchi (entity+tamagotchi) but they said she had to change it for legal reasons.

The 3DS is the ideal form factor for a portable game system. I don't know why we abandoned it for the unpocketable slabs we have now. Imagine this design with a high res screen and at least a modern smartphone SoC. Even if you only had one screen with just the controls on the bottom it'd be great.

Some have hundreds of patrons making over $1k a month. If I didn't have morals I'd get in on it. Prompt "popular character naked" & rake in money.

Roughly a decade after trying the demo on the Ouya (Yes, really), I finally got around to playing 2064: Read Only Memories by @midboss.bsky.social Absolutely incredible game! Amazing music, beautiful art style, and a great story! It's a cyberpunk point and click game that I can't recommend enough!

I had switched from using the Twitter app to using the website on my phone. I could use browser extensions to hide a lot of the garbage but it ran so bad. Coming back here after a bit to a proper app feels amazing. Like getting a new pair of shoes after the old ones were held together with tape.
