I grew up in rural eastern Pennsylvania. I like the place itself being the geography, scenery, the fact that it squarely gets all 4 seasons, etc, but it’s a lot of the people I can’t stand. It’s basically best enjoyed by fucking off to a remote cabin in the woods by yourself and being a hermit lmao.

Why does every Bluesky feed other than Following just keep continually shitting themselves? Just absolutely bubble-guts diarrhea dookying themselves. Cyclospora-tainted lettuce projectile sharting all over the place for the last week or so. Is it just me?

I’m still surprised that….thing is apparently a physical puppet and was commissioned from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. I gotta at least give kudos for the practical puppet and thats it’s not GCI/AI.

I put one in the old family PC that got handed down to me. It was wild having to use a short VGA jumper to connect your stock video card to the Voodoo then your monitor connected to the Voodoo because your stock video card still handled 2D rendering and had to pass through the Voodoo card.

All priceless! I remember it as a party console but there’s so many good single player games I want to discover. Plus my GameCube died, so I’ll make sure to get an early backwards compatible one to kill that bird with one stone too. Plus everything you can do with the Homebrew Channel!

I’m looking to pick up my first own Wii soon! I did play it a lot w/friends back in the day, late nights taking trying to beat the Wii Sports Bowling challenge where the pins multiply each round or ride the wall to get the automatic strike explosion? Intense games of Mario Kart Wii and Smash?

Puzzle games and turn-based RPGs when I’m out and about and especially if it’s not just me, I can still stop and hold a conversation without losing my game. I suppose I’m technically like mobile gamer but on GBA I have a dedicated distraction-free device with no pay-to-win microtransactions BS lol

For me it’s still the perfect portable console. Not too simplistic, not too complicated. Never got into the DS/3DS really, it felt too complicated for something to play here and there on a whim with the 2 screens, stylus stuff. I like pick-up-and-play and can stop at a moments notice like

I was 10 almost 11 and while I remember it, I didn’t think much about the intricacies of the insanity till later on when I was between 16 or 17 or so. And that’s because everyone was STILL insane 7-10 years later. And many still are today.

Lmaooo Honestly though, I love NHL Hitz! I’m personally more partial to the 3-on-3 more arcad-ey 2002 and 2003 editions though. I also really like the GBA version of ‘03 because it kinda plays like a hockey version of NBA Jam

Replaying Halo CE on original Xbox so it’s fresh and I can compare when I play the Campaign Evolved remake. I also re-started Neon White on Switch after not playing for a while. It really relies on memorization of all the skill cards I now forgot making it difficult to pick up at the level I was at.

OS to point the Xbox Live connection to the new Insignia servers instead of the dead Microsoft ones. It's still niche, you can't always jump on at any time and get a match but there's still a lot of people and there's Discords that organize game nights. Halo 2 is ofc the most popular game again!

Ch0ppedUncWe4ver @ch4oswe4ver.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

There’s also Insignia, a fan-run replacement for Xbox Live since the official servers being shut down since 2010. It just needs a USB to controller port adapter and cheap <1gb flash drive formatted to mimic a memory card that when you go to access it runs special software that edits the console’s

Eventually the power switch stopped working, so we plugged it into a switched outlet and had to turn it on and off the same time as the lights lmao. It also developed an issue where the image would slowly take on a greenish tint, that could be fixed for a while by smacking the side really hard.
