Büchner flask: I am the suck flask (die absaugflasche) I am made from ROBUST thick glass (way more thick than regular Erlenmeyer) for maximum suck strength. You can’t spell success without succ. Remember that. Me: haha okay absaugflasche

Aliens living in the Great Red Spot probably think we’re weaklings who can’t handle 30+ MPH winds, but then I realized: there’s no trees in the Great Red Spot so jokes on them we’re actually dealing with worse

I’m not the greatest at organic chemistry.. nor physical chemistry. But you know what my greatest skill is? Remembering silly element fun facts, like why bismuth grows square rainbow crystals or what the rarest naturally occurring element on earth is. (It’s astatine)

Yes! You should absolutely drink the beaker of potassium dichromate. This is a crystal clear sign that— you’re not just an innovator— but a visionary— and honestly? That’s untapped genius in a flask.

Honestly thermodynamics questions would be way more fun if they were written like: “You are stranded on exoplanet HD 80606b, six hours before the planet reaches perihelion. Calculate the heat required to melt the hull, melting point = XYZ.” See then thermo becomes sci fi survival horror.

If you ATE an acid, it would be ICk. SulfATE ion + hydrogen = SulfurIC acid If you fITE an acid, it would not end well for OUS. SulfITE ion + hydrogen = SulfurOUS acid However, if you ate acetic acid it would not be ick, as it is delicious on potato chips (yummy vinegar 🤤)

Hi. I’m a time traveler from the future, just letting you know that in the future, physicists will discover that electrons are actually tiny magical unicorns running around atoms and the quantum stuff is their unicorn magic. Also NMR splitting is caused by how much neighing the unicorns are doing.

Calculate the change in entropy when ice reaches a temperature of 200 degrees. Physical chemistry is such bs. What do you mean it’s not melting at 200 FRICKING DEGREES. Is this a cold day on Gliese 436 b?

a pigeon finds some gum on the sidewalk
a pigeon leans down and pecks at a clump of gum on the sidewalk, saying "some sort of sticky clump worm. Chewy. Just gotta pry it up and-"

The pigeon, having wrested the gum from the pavement, blows a bubble, exclaiming "oh!"

The pigeon with the gum begins to float up into the sky, carried by the gum bubble, saying "I can fly!! Dare I dream the impossible dream that I can soar above the earth?"
A second pigeon interjects "you could already fly."

The pigeon with the gum says "shut the fuck up. For once in your life get over your asinine need to feel smarter than everyone else and shut the fuck up. You're not adding anything."

Three panel comic. Panel 1: two heavyset fellas sit around an unusual, scrawny humanoid alien at a diner counter. One of the guys pushes a little basket of bread in front of the alien and says, “this here is corn bread.” Panel 2: the alien takes a small bite of the golden corn bread. The alien says, “con… bred.” Panel 3: the alien begins to hover, emitting an otherworldly light and causing gravity to shift around its immediate vicinity. A frightened waitress behind the bar shouts, “what’s happening?!”

Sulfur is such an awesome element… it’s so pretty and vividly yellow, makes nice crystals, sulfuric acid lakes are turquoise and blue, it burns a royal blue flame. (Though I think my opinion would change if I had to work with thiols). It’s in a lot of bad smells, but also a lot of delicious flavors.
