To further explore the mechanisms underlying the student performance, we examine how it varies across origin neighbourhoods’ income, urbanisation, and pollution. We find little heterogeneity, suggesting that the fresh start effect dwarfs any additional benefits or disruption costs.

Roughly, 2,000 #beneficiaries were #randomly #selected. Each household received a housing unit, bringing the total to approximately 10,000 inhabitants. The big difference with the MTO is that all families moved to the #same #neighbourhood at the #same #time.
