According to this discussion: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVwp... Rednot is just a code name, and Astral's typechecker's real name is Ty. So we got: - R uff - U v - S ecret project? - T y.

Am I the only one feeling happy every time I find a valid use case (and not too complex) to use the Walrus operator?

I will also take care of kubesplit by the way. I discovered it's still used...in the company I work for (not pushed by me)

I moved my yamkix GitHub project out of the dust. Switched to uv and pypi trusted publishing. Getting ready for an api refresh and some new stuff. I will provide it as a pre-commit hook as I found out I prefer its outcome to the one of yamlfmt in some cases. Never better served than by yourself 😅

Switched to KDE on my linux workstations and I really enjoy using it. Nice (enough for me), very usable and configurable. I do not regret it. Using it on a Fedora and an OpenSuse Tumbleweed. Both distros got the upgrade to 6.3 yesterday (in my timezone)

Ok, it will be a busy April month for me. Starting with a talk at Kube Con London, and 2 weeks later, a Tools in Action about Terraform tests at Devoxx France.

PyGithub is nice even if it's not perfect. No support for rulesets (and other) and strange choices of Api. But it works and I see no reason to use raw requests or httpx instead.

The world is crazy about AI. Went to www.reddit.com/r/Python and everything is about LLM. Please leave me alone.

I find it odd that cookiecutter is more used than copier when the latest do provide an awesome support for updates without any extra topping (like cruft)
