Was talking to a 50-something friend who said they were telling a 20-something that big secret of adults is that no one feels they're an adult. I know this is a common saying, but I don't vibe w/it at all. Certainly not for last 10 or 15 years. I feel very much like an exhausted, weary adult.

Sitting for a long time is tiring, plane air is thin and recycled so it often has a higher CO2 content, boarding and deboarding a plane is stressful, and the liminal space of an airport is disorienting. Add it all up and one can get tired very quickly.

McDonald's employee with Down Syndrome retires after 32 years of serving smiles. Russell O'Grady, 52, first put on the chain's uniform in 1986 when he was just 18 in Sydney, Australia. In 2018 he hung up his apron for the final time. Old news but I just needed to believe in the good in the World.
