Why the Lōng Face? Binary but with more digits. Singular but faceted. [bridged from dragon.style/@Cerulean on the fediverse by fed.brid.gy ]

My decade in phones. I probably could have gotten years more out of the S9 just waiting for it to break or even trying to glue it back together myself, but better to have it sorted.

Photo of three phones. Samsung Transform Ultra: Front and back slide apart (for physical keyboard). Replaced battery just before made obsolete by network. Samsung Galaxy S9: Front and back are not _supposed_ to come apart (but have, because they are rounded shells with no sides to hold them together). Samsung Galaxy A16: All sides are actually flat. A bit bigger than the pockets of my favorite jeans.

[spoilers for Cursed Words] About to end this muppet's whole career.

Screenshot from an endgame. The final boss, the host Michael who looks like a fugitive from Sesame Street, is down to 2948 out of 38204. My player character Nina Nix is a happy ghost puppet gal who reminds me of friends. The stickers include strong "face card" synergies and a rare stamp that reliably supplies consumable shiny question marks. The grid contains no actual letters.

Sometimes a meme gets your head and you gotta draw it from scratch.

Cartoon of a businesslike human woman entering a kitchen and finding that a pink puppy-girl has overturned the trash bin and is happily eating garbage. The trash is labeled "gendered language". The human is labeled "regular society slowly and painstakingly getting a few words like 'actor' to include women". The dog girl is labeled "online trans girls employing constructions like 'dragoness' and 'administratrix' to validate ourselves".

[game tinkering] I just learned how to use github for the first and probably last time so that I can share my "Sharp Cards" with the Balatro world. github.com/CeruleanKay/sharpcards

A close-up sampling of the enhanced cards.

[game tinkering] Because my focus has to be increasingly pointless so I don't bait myself into hoping the things I do with my time will mean anything to anyone, I have been going through the image files in Balatro and enhancing them pixel by pixel. Noting that […] [Original post on dragon.style]

Balatro screenshot with HD cards and jokers. The ace of spades has a fancy design inside, in keeping with tradition.

Balatro screenshot with HD designs. An arcana pack is open so you can see what I did with the tarot. This turned out to be an unusually good run, with two rainbow Madness and a Blueprint, carrying the green deck into ante 12 of purple stake.

The central portrait this time:

A cartoon in the style of Gravity Falls, in which "Dave Greggies" poses outside the "Mystery Task House" like Grunkle Stan.

Focus on the inconsequential is how I get anything done, but not anything I need to do.

A drake-style meme of myself, indicating distaste for doing "anything expected of me" and preference for "replicating someone else's show in someone else's game, twice"

Jesus Christ, Monotype.

An email from Monotype, the parasitic font distribution monopoly, that announces: "A new AI writing tool is now integrated into the Founry [sic] Platform! It gives real-time suggestions to improve grammar, tone, and discoverability."
