The strange thing about growing up in Ireland in the ‘70s, was you had a ring side seat to Brit & US culture, whilst at the same time having experienced how those cultures were based on exacting a toll from the colonised, like us. It was a discombobulating experience. Belonging & not belonging.

Yes and no. It feels like there are too many tabs open, that are all actively playing videos or music and all different volumes + the person controlling the tabs(me)has blurred vision and keeps clicking all the wrong buttons while each button they click is a different and completely horrible texture

Transitioning to a way of life full of structure, routine and planning after years of instability and chaos has been so challenging. Particularly because of how the people in my life have to adjust to just simply live with me and many are lacking understanding or even the willingness to do so.

ADHD has also led me to some really good times with spontaneity and impulsiveness (though also negative times with this too) But recently, for my own experience, I've found myself wishing I had been barely solely autistic Maybe then people would see just how much being truly autistic affects me.

I used to think, for all it's faults, that having #ADHD as well as being #autistic was a good thing for me personally. I attribute it to me being able to mask so highly and so helps me in my job and some other settings. It helps me hyperfocus more on certain things. It helps me power clean.
