Rewards 🐸 (commissions are open??) @rewards.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I've set up my ko-fi and am officially taking commissions, if that's something you're interested in! I'm keeping it quite limited for now, but I'm excited! Once I finish my sets of badges, I will be opening up the shop portion alongside the commissions! ko-fi.com/justherefort...

What could my art be if I wasn't studying for a class or preparing for an exam? Or if I wasn't trying to make so much at once?

Celestian Brightmoon @celestianiof.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

"Tonight" turned into the week. My exam is next Saturday. Pardon me while a freak out and panic because my quant skills are still not as strong as I want them to be T_T

Celestian Brightmoon @celestianiof.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I am, in fact, going to take tonight off. Going to study and rest.

Celestian Brightmoon @celestianiof.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Yeah. Issue 2 starting in January. Done!

010

Celestian Brightmoon @celestianiof.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I don't know if it'll happen, but I want to start getting pages up for issue 2 starting in January.

Celestian Brightmoon @celestianiof.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I actually did some page work tonight! And on stream no less? I like the shape of this week so far, and I really needed tonight. <3

Celestian Brightmoon @celestianiof.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

No stream today. Can't brain, just want sleep.

Even when it's hard, and I'm quitting the night in frustration because I can't get my fingers and body to cooperate to make the thing happen, sometimes all I want to do is pick up my flute and go back to that measure or that phrase and master it. #flutevibe

Definitely going to just hang out off-line tonight, quietly. Sunday's also going to be by-ear because of the holiday and potential family activities. Tuesday, however, we have a date with a patch...

May I be sentimental for a moment? Whenever I think of the arts, I am shaken in awe of this powerful energy of creation that drives people to draw and paint, to get on stage and sing, scream, and pretend, to MAKE something and share that with anyone and everyone.

Please make sure that your "championing of free speech" is in service to people who regularly have their speech and existence attacked judiciously, economically, and socially, not just you enjoying yours (or someone else's) "right" to be a bigot and to say slurs at folks.

I genuinely am begging people not to watch the new HP show. Like, also don't buy any branded stuff - she makes money off all that. But especially don't watch the damn show.

Welp. Twitch is twitching so until that issue is fixed, there might not be any "going live" today. :/

Okay, so yesterday, I wrote my little 8-bar study in C Major. Today, I'm going to write one in G Major.

I did it while freaking out, at least! Nice little Saturday music stream. I hope folks enjoyed a disassembled, jumbled, "watch me practice flute and clarinet" stream. Work on these nerves. Next week will be "Do it while tired."

Celestian Brightmoon @celestianiof.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Okay. To get me back on track, I'm going to spend this week (month?) working on my scripts. I can't keep fighting for my life every week to put out a single page of work. I'm a lot behind on where I thought I'd be, but at least I see where *a* bottleneck is. #makingcomics

I remember moving to Columbus and starting up my comics making seriously. There was one time I was at the Laundromat with a pile of pages to sketch out. #makingcomics

Hey. If you get the urge to play devil's advocate for gen AI, or be a "gen AI apologist" or to tell someone, "well you need to specify what type of AI you mean because...", stop yourself. No one's asking that of you. Companies pay folks to do that and if you're not getting that check, let it go.

Listen, if one of my friends told me they were forming a band, and they wanted me to join, I'd simply ask them, "Which of the seven instruments that I have would you want me on?"

So last night, I finished up Espermarch: Eyes Of Heaven #1 (the penultimate page posts in an hour). Got an emote out of it, as I do, and felt really accomplished. That's a whole 32-page story that is as done as it's going to be this year and I'm ready to move on. #makingcomics

Naturally, after the stream is over, the captions decided they wanted to work T_T My streaming life is a bit of a nightmare right now. Thank you for your patience, pardon the inconvenience.

No page going up today, but we'll wrap up this first chapter soon. Thanks for staying with me :)

New page is ready to go! Thank you all so much for sticking with me while I get these up. My consistency in posting has been spotty at best, but to know that there are folks eager to see these pages go up make me feel good. Thank you, truly!

What's also great about these one-page and one-scene stories is how they help me develop characters and their relationships with each other in smaller, more intimate scenes. This just may be how I make comics for a while. #makingcomics

010

Celestian Brightmoon @celestianiof.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

Okay. Finally got around to scripting Warsaints' one page from last week, and I'm getting on Hedge Kingdom's script for this week. I think I just want to focus on working this week's one pager? But we'll see where it goes.

010

Celestian Brightmoon @celestianiof.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

I like my scene I wrote, but I want to rewrite it. The new constraint is that the scene has to do more to show who each character is, in general, rather than just be "a moment in time," while still also being a little "slice of life." #makingcomics

I hate getting excited about streaming at the start of the week and setting up a schedule and then that day comes and I'm too tired to go on at the end of the day. One more area where I need to give myself space to just exist and not try to push through extracurricular activity.

000

Celestian Brightmoon @celestianiof.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

When I wrapped work at 4p today, 5p felt far too soon to start stream and I needed a bit of time. Glad for that because I am going to cancel stream for tonight after all and just relax. The day wasn't harder then any other, I'm just more exhausted than I thought I'd be. Should be back Thursday :)

000

Celestian Brightmoon @celestianiof.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

Welp. I got some things done. Certainly not all. Got distracted with a bunch of other stuff on the to-do list. Gonna move on, though, this week's a new page (that still needs a story). #makingcomics

Made a pretty needful update to the website last week! Still some adjustments to make, but hopefully the landing page looks a little more call-to-actiony. The left-side thing will take you directly to the comic now. Maybe the right-side image should take you to the Twitch page? 🤔

Snip of the home page for the Illustrator Of Fantasies website. Main figure at the center of the page with white hair and serpent around him. On the left is a page from the webcomic, on the right is the website name and broadcast schedule for the IOF Twitch channel.

I just wrote the outline for this month's four page scene that is already making me tear up. Needs dialogue to finish it off but I'm already expecting to cry through it when it's over. You'll see come Tuesday. #makingcomics
