Not holding my breath for a movie, but at least I can say I did my part monetarily supporting the show ; w;)9💦

Mini Goodbye Lara haul! The ending still leaves a bittersweet taste in my mouth (tho it has softened after a properly binged rewatch), but I can't say I regret preordering the Bluray sets; This poster is gorgeous! 😭

It might be I took the high energy scenes as an animation spectacle and observed like maybe a specific portion of it so it wasn’t overstimulating? Or maybe already seeing the trailer a couple times prepared me? I hope you give it a chance if you can but sorry if it does wind up being a lot ; w;

I can’t say there’s a non-zero chance that it won’t still be “a bit much”, (I might have just been in a good mood tonight myself) <xDc but the animation and some of the scenes’ background & color designs are so beautiful I think it would be most appreciated on a big screen!

Back from seeing Forgotten Island! It was a great watch! Was afraid I was gonna feel too old and tired for the movie's hyper energy, but I was thoroughly invested!

Fr! They pulled it off so well in Ep6 /w Lisa & Kota- a kiss wasn't necessary there! I was hoping Lara & Mari would have a similar moment that'd maybe parallel L&K & give us smth substantial even w/o a kiss, but the ep was so packed with high stakes we barely get a breather before the bittersweet 😭

♥️♠️Celeste ♣️♦️ @celestiangel.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Sorry if this thread is a jumbly mess! And word limit won't catch the nuances I feel about this💦 I guess I subscribe to the "understand final message, disagree with execution" camp but I also don't see how a kiss or smth would compromise Lara's independance moving out, even if that did feel rushed.

♥️♠️Celeste ♣️♦️ @celestiangel.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I already felt like this before the new merch announcement, but don't Sapphics deserve a better frame of animation to milk for money 😭 (It feels accurate irt Mari being nonchalant and not upfront about her feelings platonic or otherwise- but ohhh what could've been!)

♥️♠️Celeste ♣️♦️ @celestiangel.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

tried to avoid typical yuri tropes (to avoid it being interpreted as yuri?)" Which... maybe they failed at that too, idk. Shoulda internalized my initial reading I guess. 😭 **if you don't ship LaraMari and subscribe to a completely ace reading for GL, then I'm not here to convince you otherwise.

*I actually don't know if I agree about Goodbye Lara being marketed as a Yuri all along? I personally got into the series for TLM elements & just got more hopeful for Yuri as the series went on 🤡 Like I read that one early interview as "its a story about 2 girls' relationship (neutral) and-

Even after their midair embrace; this shot-reverse-shot between Mari and Lara already has Lara feeling more distant. Which tbf could be buildup to Lara's aloofness in the timeskip. But would it have been bad to portray Lara as /closely/ confiding in Mari about her realization of what she wanted?

110

♥️♠️Celeste ♣️♦️ @celestiangel.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I don't want to call GL yuribait*, (Lara's dynamic with her family is easily symbolic to the queer experience) but I do feel like LaraMari is kind of boring as a ship** now without the catharsis of a more direct confirmation or personal intimate moment. Compare: Kaiju Girl Caramelise or Lisa & Kota

Still thinking a lot about the Goodbye Lara ending and want to put my thoughts in writing, but I also want to give the series a proper binge-rewatch to see if the series as a whole holds up for me or not... But in light of the new merch I at least wanted to get this off my chest.

I get what they were trying to say at the end (and could've appreciated it too even if it wasn't as yuriful). But if that was the message they wanted to say then I wish it was built more into the rest of the anime instead of feeling like such a last minute pivot 😭

Thankfully she isn't a super expensive figure (as you can tell from the closeups), and her hair perfectly covers it from afar! But I still feel dumb for being careless ; w;

Decided to unbox my Devil Homura figure and put support pins in her wings so I wouldn't have to use the support stands she came with! Accidentally got a little overzealous with my last bit of drilling tho and almost went right through her chest 🥲😭

Surprised that my Proxy was actually able to secure me Precure Premium Sets 1 & 2 despite how quickly they've sold out! 😭 I had to get them via seperate preorder waves tho, so I have to wait until April & May each, but I'm glad I don't have to deal with 3rd party sellers 🥹

The capelet is kind of the only design element that references the detective theme for this season, so I think it's important to highlight <83

Tiny Cure Arcana edit~ I think I still prefer Arcana Shadow, but I'd probably like her other form too if the capelet was contrasted better instead of blending into a white blob ; w; (Just changed the color of the ruffle under the capelet & wings on the waist) Before>After

kriselle devilman 2

part of a comic page, based on devilman by go nagai but with the main characters replaced by kris and noelle. they are having a conversation, kris looking concerned while noelle is grinning wickedly. it reads:

kris: what's changed?
noelle: everything! I feel better than before!
noelle: though, I do feel the urge to fight sometimes! faha!
kris: really? expected, I guess.
noelle: I enjoy being violent! it excites me! fahahaha!
noelle: though... I've been experiencing strange nightmares. incredibly realistic!

more of the same. these panels show the silhouette of noelle's demon form fighting the shadows of various cyber city darkners, while kris looks on. kris, bloodstained and sweating, is thinking to themselves
"but.. is that really noelle? even though she merged with a demon, could that really be noelle holiday? that kind, timid noelle?"

The way this figure not only scratched the part of my brain that wants playline-sized anime dolls (despite everything being sculpted here), But it also reminding me of the 1/6 Real Action Heroes Mami Tomoe figure... T wT)9💭 *wistful sigh*

Ahhh this Mami figure is so beautiful! 😭🌼💛 Her sitting pose made me assume she'd be noodle stopper-sized, but she was... definitely bigger than I expected :Uc (Almost 1:6/playline doll size? But also ft my Nendoroid and PopUp Parade figure for comparison!)
