Are CA House Dems limited in what they can do? Sure. But this is a good opportunity to actually explain: - What he said (since there's clear obfuscation attempts happening online), - Why it's so dangerous and unprecedented - And calling on their constituents to not accept. Put out a CTA.

And yes, before you ask: I always feel like a cranky naysayer when I post one of those threads. But I really want us to stop getting perpetual cycles in which: - We believe Dems can do X - We are constrained by reality - We get disenchanted - A whole ton of people decide to vote in GOP. 😐

Without being clear about this, we're going to again risk a retread of 2024 where people think because Democrats didn't do x, they failed, and hey, maybe Republicans can do better. The reality isn't perfect, but it's better to be accurate vs. promising things that can't fully happen.
