I was on the City Matters podcast out of CO Springs! open.spotify.com/episode/1WaD... In November 2025 some registered voters in CO Springs were not allowed to vote in the county commissioner District 5 contest … because they belonged to the “wrong” political party.

Bob Chew, Greg Lopez and I are running active, credible campaigns and offering voters an option besides the two major parties. When you mark your ballot, please give the three of us statewide candidates as much consideration as you give the major-party candidates.

I’m listed in the Kalshi prediction market! Woohoo!! True, Kalshi doesn’t give me much chance, but a month ago I wasn’t even listed. My line graph is the only candidate line that has only traveled in one direction – UP!

Colorado Politics only invited the Democrat and Republican to their Sec of State candidate forum. I may have had more supporters there than Gonzalez. My supporters were quiet and polite, but we did wave signs at intervals to remind the viewers at home that I was excluded.

This photo is upside down because for Sec of State, you should not vote “blue.” You should vote for me, the candidate who will actually protect your right to vote and promote democracy (Rule by the People) instead of unconstitutional one-party elections! www.celeste4sos.com/priorities

Do you too read this graphic as anointing the D as “Secretary of State” (with the BLUE caption) and relegating the R to “candidate” (with the RED caption)? The news media are not subtle, and they are derelict when they ignore a serious alternative to the major-party candidates.

Happy (?) New U.S. Fiscal Year! As usual, the U.S. doesn’t have a budget so we may see a government shutdown in December -- not coincidentally, after the November election. Meanwhile a Super El Niño is peaking in the Pacific Ocean. www.npr.org/2026/10/01/n...

Thanks to Paula Noonan for highlighting in her column the party-protection bill HB25-1315 that is unfair to voters and, I believe, unconstitutional. As Secretary of State, I would refuse to hold these one-party elections! I proposed a constitutional solution in the Colorado Sun in January 2024.

The "Blue Book" (and it is quite the tome) should have arrived in your mailbox. It contains info to help you decide on ballot measures and judicial retentions. If you want to find out what candidates appear on your ballot, your county clerk’s website should have a sample ballot.

CNN, MS NOW and Politico have been banned from the White House and are not happy. I know how they feel. I was not included in CPR’s Colorado Matters episode on the Secretary of State candidates. When I asked why, the response was CPR’s resources are “capped.”

The U.S. Constitution was signed on this date in 1787 and has been amended 27 times. Section 2 of the 14th Amendment penalizes states that deny the right to vote for state legislators. CO will be in violation in 2027 because HB25-1315 disenfranchises voters based on party affiliation.

The Heritage Foundation ranked CO #38 in election integrity – easy to remember because CO was state #38 to join the union. Our universal mail-ballot (aka absentee) elections and use of “RCV” dropped us in the rankings. I support mail ballots and better voting methods.

In all but 2 even-year elections (2004 and 2012) this century, Americans have voted for party-control change at the federal level. Chuck Todd mentioned this factoid in our Meet the Forwardists event on Thursday. I made a table (accurate, I hope) to show the changes.

We are slipping further into polarization. [A solution] requires institutions to get more comfortable with self-criticism. When you adopt this bunker mentality, it feeds back into the sense that these institutions are unaccountable to the public. - Tyler Austin Harper www.npr.org/2026/08/18/n...

People often ask, “Are you having fun?” It’s a strange question. This campaign is about getting my message out, giving voters a nonpartisan-type SoS option, and winning! Having fun is taken for granted. As Emma Goldman reportedly said, “If I can’t dance, I don’t want to be part of this revolution.”
