Yup!! It’s refreshing to be in Chicago bc it’s super black and wayyy more well resourced. Chicago’s black population was started out by rich mulattos and then they later had a huge wave of black Mississippians during the great migration. So bc of that, there’s more wealth and opportunity…

Both cities are super segregated but Philly deals with both racial and economic segregation meaning black folks here are overall really poor and it’s hard to live through that and find community bc of that Folks are really distrustful and jaded. It can be hard to build community with other black ppl

Philly is close to nyc, bmore and the jersey beaches, it’s more affordable, has semi decent public transit and really great healthcare scene with some of the best hospitals in the country here. Also super black but has way less job opportunities and is therefore poorer than Chicago

Oh I have a ton. I’ve been to Chicago a bunch and I’ve lived in Philly since birth. Chicago has better public transit, more job opportunities, and is in a blue state. Also ton of black and queer community there and I think it would be slightly easier to find friends and community there

No we don’t😭 not fully. It’s not legal recreationally but it’s legal medically. You need a med card to get weed from a dispensary

Yeah agreed. Knowing how LLMs work computationally, I knew it would be incredibly expensive and bad for the environment. No one wanted to talk about that when the big ai labs weren’t charging people for usage. Now things are out of hand lol

I think right now more than ever it’s really important to understand AI deeply. I think it’s more important to understand it than to use it daily. One of the reasons why these companies are floundering over all the cash they burnt in tokens is because not enough people internally understand AI

Solutions engineering feels like the best way for me to enjoy what I loved the most about developer advocacy
