Stigma and ignorance around neurological issues are very common and unhelpful, it’s bad enough dealing with these problems as it is (like i can’t drive, etc). I have controlled seizures as well as chronic migraine.

Taking the day off while the boys are at school/work. The house is full of incense and music, I got time to meditate and do yoga, I'm folding laundry now. Then I'm going to go shopping for makeup, and then see where else the day takes me. It is cold, wet, and rainy, but it's a beautiful day, to me.

Poverty means driving your car even when it's making noises and then it dies on the middle of the highway. I have a free tow w/ insurance. My parents are letting me borrow their 2nd car. I'll know more tomorrow. I'm blessed to have the safety net I do. But right now I'm just so tired of poverty.

A Rhythm of Prayer edited by Sarah Bessey is really beautiful. I'm glad it's available at my library. This collection of essays, poems, prayers, and meditations is hitting me right in my dissociated soul. It's not really "healing," but I do feel seen. And that is akin to healing. Healing-adjacent.

Kiddo's teacher suggested we write encouraging letters to our children to be given to them on their SOL (state testing) days next week. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
