Sinestro in the Lanterns finale

Sinestro surrounded by darkness and brooding “Damn you, John Stewart”

Halogram walks in and Sinestro pleasantly says “omg, Hal, hi!!!”

look at Cheetah’s face, she isn’t even trying to maul Diana. She really just wanted tackle her 🤨📸

Haha wow someone at LEGO really just wanted this set for themselves lmfao this is awesome

You’re so right, Tynion just deserves my money tbh

010

Such unfortunate timing for Chowder 😪 if it came out just a few years earlier OR later, I’m sure it would’ve been a smash hit

051

like the show fully acknowledges what she’s doing is fucked up and what that looks like in the context of John Stewart, and still paid her off anyway? It’s like they were rushing to make everybody happy at the end 😭 both her & his family

010

I’ve failed, I’m so behind on Slaughterverse stuff but want to grab #50 so badly 😫

I’m genuinely not a fan service person who’s uppity about whether or not they’re in-costume but they really got me fucked up with the Lanterns finale lmfaoo

Christopher Cantwell is taking over season 2 actually so fingers-crossed 🥴

Where's Rick meme - Walking Dead

Maybe that is all stuff S2 will talk about, but the moment John comes home and lovingly embraces his family is highly unearned and felt hollow when it seemed like everyone including his brothers were at their limit with him. I also would’ve liked to see their reaction to him assuming the role of GL

My only really big criticism for the ending is that it sweeps the drama between his family under the rug. I wanted to see more engagement with them, confront what his parents did to him throughout his childhood, and satisfyingly show them accepting his independence.

How he finally decides he will be Green Lantern played out exactly like how I was hoping it would. He is not a lap dog for a police force, he does not follow a strict guideline of what’s right or wrong, and he embraces his emotions, in opposition of what the Guardians or his parents asked of him

Where it leaves the door open for season 2 is very entertaining too. Season 2 pretty much HAS to be about Sinestro forming the yellow lanterns and I like how they’ve set that up here. The moment John affirms that he is the Green Lantern is so badass too.

“Think of me as an independent contractor” Lanterns fucking sticks the landing. While I was hoping for a little spectacle, I’m very very satisfied with the more dramatic & dialogue centric direction. It satisfyingly caps off the series theme of breaking the bad habits spawned from familial trauma

I FELL ASLEEP HALF AN HOUR BEFORE IT PREMIERED LMFAOO

I like decorating for the holidays :)

the Gen Z one with Jennifer Lawrence is still an all-timer

Oh he’s definitely trolling in half his interviews

Genuinely one of the worst comics I’ve ever read. Overall, Back in Black is a very enjoyable event that’s able to be enjoyed in isolation from One More Day following right after it, but the ending is actually fucking dogshit.

Amazing Spider-Man #543, the final issue of Back In Black

OH YOU DIDNT KNOW WHAT THIS MOVIE WAS ABOUT?! 😭😭😭

241

my crack pot conspiracy I’ve had since 2024 is that Lanterns is called that, so the movie can be called Green Lantern or Green Lantern Corps

I don’t like admitting it, but he’s right. The movie ended on a shot of Optimus, with the sunset, a heroic speech, with fucking Linkin Park playing in the background Also the reactionary post-9/11 military propaganda & blatant misogyny yeahyeahyeah

160

I’m like so not ready for Lanterns to end tomorrow. I wasn’t expecting to get this attached to the show. I wasn’t even expecting much out of it and it turned out to be great. I want 20 more 😭

“Disgusting” is too catch-all. Sometimes I do be blocking people for being insufferably annoying about things that literally don’t matter

compare that to here where my standards are much higher and you really have to be a disgusting person for me to block you lmfao

I know I’ve blocked a fuck ton on people LOCG because whenever a post goes viral and has a lot of comments, and I go to read the comments, like a 1/3 of those comments don’t appear lmfao

Also understand, my first experience with therapy was after an attempt at 17, forced to by my parents, and the person they put me with was so cold and unsympathetic. I resisted doing this for so long because of that one bad experience. I’m so shocked by how pleasant therapy actually is 😭

Had my third session of therapy today and I think it’s actually working yall 😭 who’d have thought

Preeeach. Short ears on Wolverine sucks

Harley Quinn #66 was pretty disappointing. Not because it’s necessarily bad, but its comedic tone that conflicts SO hard with the prologue to Bad Seeds. Ivy breaking up with her for political gain left Harley in a pretty sad state when written by GWW, which Kalan did not keep consistent at all 🥲

more Bad Seeds catch-up! Poison Ivy #48 is a great turning point for not just the event, but also Ivy’s character over the last few years. Its theme about idol worship is very timely, and I can’t stress enough that Ivy is both the antagonist AND the real main character of Bad Seeds, not Batman

I think this might be my new favourite Absolute cover 💚 the colors and composition are just so nice Art by Mirka Andolfo

Absolute Green Arrow #5 variant cover by Mirka Andolfo depicting Green Arrow in the hand of Dinah Lance, aiming up at her as she looks down at him. The background resembles a sound wave with black & pink hues

Disastrous decisions right off the bat. Fuck Skydance. Warner Bros. is cooking these days under these two, who genuinely like movies and love making them. This is a great indicator that this merger is going to ruin EVERYTHING.
