Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 12hMore Bad Seeds catch-up Really fun stuff all around this batch. Batman #14 really endeared me to Verity Pennyworth, and Batgirl #24 is a good play on Cass’s “nobody dies tonight” motif. Streets of Gotham was a good anthology of different tones that could’ve also been shorter. Loved seeing Duke tho 050 0

Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 14/10/2026I’m pretty stoked for X-Orcists now that’s it’s an ongoing so I’m catching up on Ashley Allen’s work with Magik. I remember liking the art but not really the story of the first two issues, hopefully a complete reread will change my opinion. I really liked Allen’s Magik tie-in for Blood Hunt. 010 0

Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 09/10/2026ABSOLUTE JUSTICE! I’m not sold on the writer, but I do love Ferreyra’s art, and placing John Jones at the center of the story has me so damn excited 070 0

Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 09/10/2026liveconformdie make the bold move of conforming to a contemporary sound, indistinguishable from their peers. Trading punishing, memorable, and groovy riffs for indistinctive-tired low chugs that repeat throughout the 20 minute runtime. “Die In My Prime” is ironic when their prime is evidently passed 120 0

Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 08/10/2026YES, DC, I WILL HAVE ANOTHER BLACK LABEL ZATANNA BOOK, THANK YOU! Terry & Rachel Dodson are such a great pick. Their artwork of Zee over the years capture the revue performer side of the character so well 040 0
Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Cosmic Invasion acknowledging Sue Storm is the strongest member of the Fantastic Four, when Rivals just made her a healer who barely uses her powers 😤🤭 1145 0
Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 07/10/2026and that’s fine lol, just funny that these are marketed as something they’re not The Lobo one still makes me laugh 110 0
Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 05/10/2026“Think of me as an independent contractor” Lanterns fucking sticks the landing. While I was hoping for a little spectacle, I’m very very satisfied with the more dramatic & dialogue centric direction. It satisfyingly caps off the series theme of breaking the bad habits spawned from familial trauma 1120 0
Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Genuinely one of the worst comics I’ve ever read. Overall, Back in Black is a very enjoyable event that’s able to be enjoyed in isolation from One More Day following right after it, but the ending is actually fucking dogshit. 130 0
Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 03/10/2026more Bad Seeds catch-up! Poison Ivy #48 is a great turning point for not just the event, but also Ivy’s character over the last few years. Its theme about idol worship is very timely, and I can’t stress enough that Ivy is both the antagonist AND the real main character of Bad Seeds, not Batman 150 0

Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Seeing Holding Absence live was life changing. I’ve been dying for this moment since I was 17 yall have no idea. Their music’s been there for me during the literal worst years of my life, and helped me learn to be proud to still be alive 130 0
Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 29/09/2026More Bad Seeds catch-up! Yall, I am loving this event! Everything is flowing together when events often spread themselves thin with irrelevant tie-ins. Batwoman & Detective are major turning points for the story. Nightwing also works really well as a continuation of its own story & an event tie-in 240 0

Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 24/09/2026more Bad Seeds catch-up. This event is shaping up to be one of the best! Batman #13 was violently fun & paid off a sentiment from #2. The real star though is Batgirl #23. I wasn’t expecting Cass struggling with dissociation to be an ongoing arc but it’s really struck a chord with me personally 😭😭 130 0
Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Genuinely one of the best #1’s I’ve read in a long time. It looks great, it’s hilarious, Jason is actually well-written, and the reason for why this lineup even comes to be is fucking amazing lol 010 0
Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 23/09/2026“industry plant character” “writer’s lame OC” Yall could actually criticize the writing or just say you don’t like a character instead of discrediting the artistic integrity of the person who made it 3103 0

Charlie @cdtcharles.bsky.social · 19/09/2026In honor of Batman day, what is your favorite piece of Batman media? I was quite literally Batman Beyond’s target demographic, being born in the 00’s and all, so it holds a dear place in my heart. ‘Dark Night, Dark City’ is not only the best Riddler story, but my favourite story from the comics 031 0
