I don't believe that at all. I know right now that MAID is not an option but if they do allow it for severe mental illness in 2027 you know as well as anyone that if someone wants it bad enough they will find a way to be approved. The fact they even have to consider this route is troublesome.

I said they are considering MAID. Whether it is a viable option or not isn't the point. The point is that many disabled are so desperate for support they don't/can't get they feel the only way out is death. Oh and mental health support in Alberta is a joke!

I'm not spreading disinformation. I said they are "considering" MAID. While severe mental illness is on hold until 2027,I expect that THIS their underlying disability is the route they choose. I am part of the disability community and I know many. I have heard many discuss MAID here in Alberta.

This is great but you know that a great number of disabled cannot access all this mostly due to living in extreme poverty. When you have to choose between food or rent you aren't thinking about spending time in nature or traveling to the ocean. Fix things for most vulnerable now! We can't wait.

Thank you this is important BUT please do something to help the disabled. Most are living below poverty levels and we can't wait for help. No one should have to choose between food or utilities or have to share someone's home because they can't afford even basic accommodation.

This is great. Many of my family and friends and people i don't know deserve this. But don't forget people like me. Disabled, unable to work, living below the poverty line. No one should have to choose between food or utilities or struggle for years for housing. Help is needed now!

Make sure you include the needs of the disabled who are mostly living below the poverty line, have difficulty getting suitable employment and can't afford housing in cities, where many need to be to meet their medical needs. Start with not allowing clawback of the CDB.

30 mins because they didn't want to deal with her. She was incontinent, she had severe arthritis, she had severe pain. They ignored her even after she got a respiratory illness in the hospital. She got sepsis, had a stroke and died. This isn't right.
