The Commission is deeply concerned by reports of threats against Muslim schools in Canada. Every child has the right to feel safe, respected, and included. There is no place for Islamophobia, hate, or intimidation in our communities.

Emerging details confirm that the courage of the officers protecting those gathered at the Sons of Jacob Synagogue during Yom Kippur narrowly prevented mass casualties in this targeted antisemitic attack. This is a frightening reminder that antisemitism continues to fester in Canada.

In 2025 we received over 4,600 new inquiries and potential complaints, and accepted over 960 complaints under the CHRA. Both of these represent a five-year high. (1/2)
