Oh wow, just read this today. Falsely moving someone's registration to another state would be a great way to prevent them from being able to vote. We're going to need proof of residency at our current address when we show up at the polls...

My husband went to vote in our state primary today.

When he got to the polling location, they couldn't find a record of him being a resident. After some research, they said the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in our state showed that he moved to the District of Columbia (DC) in December 2025, so his license was invalid. He definitely did not move to DC, although that is the state he moved here from in 2023. The physical drivers license he had in hand was valid starting in June 2023. Did someone steal his identity in DC, or was this a glitch in the system for the DC DMV, or something else? He checked his credit report and didn't see anything suspicious.

Why hasn't anyone asked Patel how many applicants have been rejected because they checked the "pornography" and "beastiality" box? If the number of applicants is really low, like 10, there's no need to change the policy. If numbers are profoundly high enough to warrant change, something is wrong...

And there's no avenue of appeal if wrongly flagged by DHS. No probable cause. DHS can flag everyone who voted D in the last primary as "non citizen" and prevent them from voting, or withhold their votes "pending investigation" until after the midterms are certified.

Trump said it to try and manipulate fuel prices here in the US. Meanwhile Saudi Arabia can't ship oil and *really* want the US to retake Perim Island from the Houthis. If the other Gulf states join the Saudis and introduce a second oil embargo Trump will be royally f*cked and have to send troops.

Look at what Atlanta has done to the Chattahoochee river. (Georgia needs to build drinking water reservoirs before the next drought). Now imagine Alabama rivers drained by data centers. Not a pretty sight. Meanwhile who's providing us with bottled water? Um-hmm. No one.

Why not a law requiring data centers to build a reservoir that would contain all the water it would use in a year, and the data center couldn't start operation until said reservoir is full. If the reservoir falls below 10% capacity the data center has to cease operating until water level is normal.

In the case of Lake Ontario, it was named by the (allegedly) first inhabitants of the region, who presumably had the naming rights since no one else was there to argue with them. The name has lasted all this time. No fool with a sharpie can override it. "It is what it is" and it is Lake Ontario.

I have an old 5qt lift bowl from the early 90s that I bought "refurbished" at an outlet mall. Knock on wood it's never failed me. Was about half retail. Would buy another today if that one died. The extra capacity of the lift over tilt head is better, and no longer getting fingers pinched by tilt.
