This exactly what a quasi-exp design is for. Recruit on the basis of their parents natural decision rather than an RCT (WITH A SUBSTANCE YOU THINK IS TOXIC). There is no need to get that last bump of validity with a true experiment vs. well controlled quasi. There is no way for this to be ethical.

Because I'm a nerd, I often think about how King Edward VI got infected with the measles which wiped out his immune system. He immediately caught smallpox and both infections helped activate a latent case of tuberculosis. He died of TB a year later. The boy king could have used an MMR vaccine.

We had this post on Instagram get flooded with suspected bots late last week…funny enough, engagement dropped to near silence for 48 hours after Ukraine bombed the data centers. Probably not a way to confirm anything, but it’s ramping back up again. Remember, you may be arguing with a Russian bot.
