The battle for the Senate is being fought across a very small map. The Cook Political Report currently lists seven Senate seats as tossups: Alaska, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, Ohio and Texas. Democrats must win at least four seats that are held by Republicans to gain a majority

Mathematician Paul Erdős had a fantasy that he'd die giving a lecture. He'd prove a result, someone would ask about a generalization, he'd respond "I'll leave that to the next generation," and then he'd die. He passed away at a conference in Warsaw #OTD in 1996, just after proving a new result. 🧪 🧮
