In suburban Maryland, where many Salvadorans fear the Trump Administration is about to target them for deportation, an Episcopal priest has pledged to become temporary guardian to 31 kids if their parents are arrested by ICE. “I feel a lot of responsibility, and a very heavy weight."

From the head of the Catholic Culture site. Note that in this instance, the woman had more children than her male peer, in addition to being more qualified and experienced. And she was paid less. And Catholic Culture praises this. 🤷‍♂️

A defense of conversion therapy in the name of religious liberty just takes all the unfounded claims that Catholicism hates LGBTQ+ people and rejects science… and gives those claims a foundation.

At this point, the #1 requirement to have a leadership role in our federal government is to be willing to be a blind loyalist to a deranged person. Taking a job there is just telling on yourself.

Wendell Berry was a giant. He understood that ecological destruction and capitalism’s worship of limitless scale were not separate problems, but were a single moral wound. He built a moral universe in which land, work, love, and community all belong to one another. As we belong to one another.

Many Catholics are more invested in critiquing socialism than they are in actual Catholic teaching. If Catholics took seriously what the popes had to say about what was wrong with socialism, they’d be much more critical of capitalism. My two cents based on my recent dive into CST.
