First thing that comes to mind would be viewport layer visibility toggles, sometimes you setup your game camera to ignore certain layers but you can't match that in the editor view so that would be pretty nice to preview your scene

Also visited the 'manoir the gisson' from the first picture, where you could see the roofing structure from the attic. Amazed at how they managed to hold and support that kind of roofing, made from fairly thick stone.

Oh interesting, didn't think of using that signal! I tried storing all the keys from the anim track and call the corresponding animations in sequence but that was overkill. Just switching which player the anims are called on seems to work well in my case, but your solution would have also worked!

For me the BIG pain point for cutscenes in godot right now is the lack of blending options in animation playback tracks. Since it just tells the target animation player to play an animation you can't have them transition nicely, which is really handy when making smooth cutscenes in unity/unreal...

Ended up having to do some track reference reassignment shenanigans to have it work, also spent wayy too long trying to do animation retargeting when I actually didn't need it. Animation libraries are pretty neat!

Spent the evening trying to figure out a better way to handle cutscenes and I think I figured out something okay-ish? Main issue was having both a preview mesh of the player visible in the editor AND have those animations apply ingame to the player mesh

I also really wish the Dead Kings DLC had had the chance to offer more of Saint Denis's impeccable vibes. Gloomy city covered in guards and fog, with an abandoned gothic cathedral above and the tombs of dead kings™ below? Yes please I want more of that.

Replaying Assassin's creed Unity and I think it's one of my not-cozy-looking-cozy-games. Like, is it intersting to collect the 100 cockades you need to get the black outfit color? No. Still doing that shit cause I just love vibing in Ubi's approximation of 1789 Paris. And it looks GOOD.

Hey! There wasn't any specific reference i had in mind, though I've had some friends comment that it resembles the ending of rogue one so maybe that was a subconscious influence? The music was mostly just me making an ending track in the style of the rest of the OST so no big inspo there either.
