110.) COMPLETE - Scary Movie 3 This is probably the ideal form of these kinds of kitchen-sink spoof films. Rather messy, and some of these jokes REALLY do not hold up, but you can at least tell the people involved were trying and enough of the jokes land to make it work for the most part.

109.) COMPLETE - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990, rewatch) Still one of the best adaptations of the franchise.

108.) COMPLETE - Critters Where do they come up with this stuff??

In English I think you can make that argument. I think it's a closer battle when comparing the films in Japanese. Mind you, Lucario's dub is very faithful overall, it's just that MSB's dub messes with a ton of stuff.

107.) COMPLETE - Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World (Season 4) It's been a long road to where this season leads, and while it's still far from over, the milestone is no less impactful and handled with love and care from the staff at White Fox. Re:Zero has yet to disappoint.

106.) COMPLETE - Gremlins 2: The New Batch (rewatch) Love me a movie where you can tell the director was given complete creative control and proceeded to just do whatever the fuck, coherence be damned. This movie is pure chaos. First film is better, but this one's just an incredibly fun ride.

Kevin the Cure Marine Stan @ccharmanderk.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

105.) COMPLETE - Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew (rewatch) Still one of the best Pokémon movies, really gorgeous in its artistry and animation.

104.) COMPLETE - Dangerous Animals Not a bad thriller film, tbh. Very solid performances, but I found the main villain a tad underwritten given the interesting ideas on display with him. Still, it's nicely paced and has an effective sense of dread and tension.

Kevin the Cure Marine Stan @ccharmanderk.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

103.) COMPLETE - The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You (Season 3) There really is never a dull moment in this series. Still incredibly creative, funny, and earnest. It's absurdity is only matched by its heart and sincerity. Also yes, Rentaro is the best.

102.) COMPLETE - Seasons From Within: Myth 6th Anniversary Still at the top.

Lot of stuff stood out to me rewatching Transformers: The Movie in theaters, but the one thing that really hit me is that damn, this movie SOUNDS fucking amazing. Between the voices, the sound effects and Vince DiCola's score, this movie BEGS to be heard on a booming sound system.

That is a part of it, to an extent, it does follow up on his literal death in the film. But by showing his death across other timelines and how he continues to sacrifice himself, the voice seems to ask what lies past life *or* death. I'm curious to see what the follow-up is because the ideas-

Kevin the Cure Marine Stan @ccharmanderk.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

It came across to me as the voice (seemingly Primus?) drawing attention to Optimus' place in a perpetual cycle. Not necessarily telling Optimus to give up, but to look beyond the conflict and himself as a martyr, and to achieve something beyond physical triumph. It's left vague but it's interesting

101.) COMPLETE - Optimus Prime: Awakening I feel like Peter Cullen may have known this was the last time he'd give his voice to Optimus Prime. It's a great send-off to him; it understands Optimus and what he stands for very well, and does really interesting stuff with him.

100.) COMPLETE - The Transformers: The Movie (rewatch, 40th Anniversary Fathom Event) For many reasons, this hits way different. As a theatrical experience, as a piece of Transformers history, and as a tribute to Peter Cullen, there's nothing better. And speaking of tributes to Peter...

I'm still new at this, but I would think, if I was trying to attract investors, I would be trying to tell a growth story and pointing out how uniquely positioned we are to tap into an underserved market or something.

99.) COMPLETE - Happy Death Day See, Blumhouse, you CAN make a movie with a last minute swerve that doesn't run the story! Ending feels maybe a touch drawn out, but this is overall a very funny and enjoyable slasher-comedy. Great watch with some like-minded friends.

98.) COMPLETE - Josie and the Pussycats If you're a government conspiracy theorist, this movie must be like heaven for you. Plot is pretty standard on a base level but it's mostly held up by really fun character/metahumor and incredibly charming performances. Music's great, too.

On one hand it would've been absolutely hilarious if the approvals didn't go through and Miyu was still forced to release with blank cover art. On the other hand, this actual cover art and design is sick as hell, so I'm glad things actually worked out.

Black Jack is low key one of Dezaki's best movies because he leans so completely into melodrama and that's where his sensibilities as a director really come alive. Just sheer expression of emotion, mood and personality through visuals. The most literal version of "every frame a painting".

I actually found the Apology Tour idea funny in a tongue-in-cheek kinda way, but after Peter's passing, it feels much poorer in taste. Might be a too-late-to-stop situation, but I do hope they at least make a statement regarding it. Because oof, fate has a sick sense of humor.

0113

Kevin the Cure Marine Stan @ccharmanderk.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

I'm not one to tug my collar, but I have to agree that the Apology Tour branding for the TFTM re-release has aged poorly. No way Hasbro knew this would happen, of course. But I wouldn't be surprised if they did an emergency rebrand of the event, or delayed it to rebrand it.
