There's a very easy distinction: Humans don't need language to think, reason, or create new things (including languages and text). LLMs can't operate or "reason" without written language. Even image and video generators rely on text descriptions and their associations with clusters of pixels

The inflation rate is one thing, but you should be thinking about the cumulative figure when trying to understand why the general perception is so sticky. We've seen prices increase 30% over the last six years. An equivalent increase happened over the prior 14 years. That explains a lot to me.
