Great book. Notably, you shouldn’t really be looking to regulators to cause growth. They can protect it, keep regulations under review but they are there to prevent harm. I do get why HMG asked this but this is why they should have an Inspector General not 100s of bodies.

If you wondered how well the government manage the knowledge gleaned and placed on inquiry websites. The answer is 'not great, really not great'. Reliant on the internet archive, which isn't ideal.I found it catalogued the wrong site for the standards in public life inquiry. So that's lovely.
