Smash or pass but it's whether you'd write smut of them or not

Birdie @cbirdrabble.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Put a little writing report on tumblr bc I've been feeling like I've been making no fic progress but actually I kind of wrote LOTS of #lulaw this month

$Screenshot of a tumblr post reading: September 2026 Writing Tally September total wordcount: 28,235 Spent this month working on One Piece lulaw WIPs. Nothing posted though! ̄\_(ツ)_/ ̄ 2519 words working title: how are you always sandwich filling when you don’t even like bread gist: Law falls in love for the first time, with Luffy. This is awkward because he's already slept with half of their mutual acquaintances. 25,716 words working title: honestly the working title is just a longass ramble right now that I'm trying to hash into something sensible. but my working meta file is titled 'heart keeps beating' gist: this is the novelesque a4a lulaw. Law strips himself down to nothing in his effort to take down Doflamingo, which is supposed to be his life's achievement. The hard part isn't finding new things to live for, it's letting himself have them.$

Completely forgot how Law turned on a dime from "we need to get the hell out of here NOW" to "let me give you a blow by blow of all of Stealth Black's moves and gear in Sora, Warrior of the Sea, while the actual real Stealth Black fights a dinosaur. I'm not a nerd!! everyone knows this stuff"

absolutely wretched, the roller coaster of "ok this draft i've written is the shit 🔥" and "ugghghgh this draft is shit 🫠"

think I'm going to attempt to revitalize my tumblr on the hunt to find OP/lulaw/law fandom

the trick to writing when you can't write is to psyche your brain out like "ah, welp. time for bed. I'm going to bed now" or to trick it into thinking you have somewhere to be in 20 minutes

010

Birdie @cbirdrabble.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I think what this fic needs is a later arc where everyone's like "look the WG really wants Robin, Vivi, and Law, so we need to circle the wagons and keep them away from the WG" and the three of them are like No. currently in my working notes as the "the princesses refuse to stay in the tower" arc

Birdie @cbirdrabble.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Alright I'm on the serious struggle bus here writing SO I'm doing 20 minute sprints and posting my wordcounts here Currently working on the longass lulaw fic, arc 1, focused in a bit that I think will be near the start of ch2 Starting count: 40187

I'm slowly picking away at this damn brick of a fic that's got D/s sorta acespec lulaw bt now i got an idea gnawing at me almost purely bc i thought of a title I think is hilarious where feelings-averse law is crushing hard on luffy but has slept with like half their mutual acquaintances

Birdie @cbirdrabble.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Cons of writing longfic: it takes foreverrrr and it's so hard to organize it all and keep track of shit Pros of writing longfic: get tired of one section? jump to a completely different part of the story and it reads fresh bc I forgot about half of what I wrote while working on other bits

Tim Curry and Dolly Parton have taught us not only that you should be bigger, weirder, gayer, and freakier, but also that those qualities are what people will love about you. The things that make you strange and amazing are the things that will resonate with other strange and amazing people

ahahaha I love writing the Heart Pirates #op #trafalgarlaw

Screenshot of a text document reading:
“We’re third cousins,” Shachi insists stridently, jabbing the table.
Law rolls his eyes in the shadow of his hat brim. Not this again.
“Nooo,” Penguin says with exaggerated patience, “we’re second cousins once removed.”
“No, because you add them! Second plus once is third. You’re making it too complicated!”
“That’s not how it works, they’re different things –“
“We’ve been over this a hundred times,” Law snaps. “You’re both.”
Shachi shakes his head. “No—"
“I don’t think you can be both,” Penguin says.
“You can, and it’s common on small islands to have multiple interrelations among established local families.”
Ikkaku grins like a shark that smells blood in the water, leaning heavily her elbow to point gleefully at Law. “So you’re saying they’re inbred.”
“Hey!” both idiots chorus, outraged.

key to my headcanon of trafalgar law is that he's 100% the kind of guy who in another life would be doing a lot of recreational drugs to deal with The Horrors but because he's so paranoid and repressed and focused on his goals he is out here consciously raw-dogging that shit

Screenshot of an AO3 fic header for Felicitations by Tierfal, a My Hero Academia fic for EndHawks, with additional tags including Alternate Universe - Post Canon, Humor, Fluff, Established Relationship, and Birthday. It's complete at one chapter of 8,068 words.

Summary reads:
Enji makes a concerted effort not to celebrate his birthday.

Don't tell me you're not even a LITTLE curious

A screenshot of fic text. Robin and Franky discuss how Law flashed half of Wano because of how loosely he ties his kimono.

A partial screenshot from the One Piece anime. Trafalgar Law's kimono is blowing up the breeze and you can see halfway up his thigh. Ridiculous.

For your convenience, the Pride and Prejudice live-posting super-thread 📚

A drawing of Elizabeth Bennet, a lovely young woman with her long hair tied up nearly under a ribbon and wearing what is most likely a neo-classically inspired dress, looking pensive, two letters in her hand. Meanwhile Darcy, a handsome but stern-looking fellow, looks longingly at her. Also there is me, a little gremlin in big round glasses, skulking about in the background and hoping that they kiss.

The accompanying text reads “Trung reads Pride and Prejudice for the first time, somehow.”

saw this post years ago and will never ever forget it. sometimes you need to tend to the place from which you create, before you can create again

Screenshot of a tumblr post by user aureliobooks that reads: My dad likes to call the stretches of time where you’re not creating “dreaming periods” and says that they’re meant to allow you to absorb all of the beauty, life, and inspiration from the things around you so that when you’re able to create again, you will have fanned your spark back into a flame. Sometimes its hard to see those moments as anything but stagnation, but he always says that they’re natural and healthy and needed—things that should be embraced rather than feared.
