Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I had no idea how much death-defiance was behind the "no CJ tonight" in this 9/21 @p1podcast.com post. If you know Chris Johnston/@superpac.bsky.social at all -- personally, as an EGM reader, etc.-- you HAVE to listen to the latest episode. Chris, I'm so glad you're OK. What a harrowing experience. 130

Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I hate that the first thing I think of now when I see that amazing image is the “no X-Men or Fantastic Four”-era version they put on T-shirts. 010

Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I grew up rooting for—and wanting to go to—the University of Texas. Instead, I went to the University of Tennessee. And I've been a proud Vol ever since. Today, my two UTs face off for the first time in my life. Not a bad way to spend the last day of my 40s. GO VOLS!!! 1120
Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Fair enough. The original design of that store had a lot more Marvel stuff in it, but the license didn’t allow for it. Alpha was there out of necessity. 😀 The Slingers suits dated back to Edge of Time. The only one I remember being truly new was Spider-Carnage. Oh, and Superior! Which was brand new 100
Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 26/09/2026As someone who worked on both ASM games, I feel I can pretty confidently say, no, it didn’t. 😀 But maybe I’m wrong! What set it apart for you there? The comic book store, maybe? 100
Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Same, but it did literally inspire Disney Infinity, so it definitely had some significance. I’ve actually heard the Cars games were good for what they were, too. 010
Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 26/09/2026True, but those were PS2/Xbox. Incredibly biased here, but I thought The Amazing Spider-Man and Captain America were at least “pretty good/solid.” 120
Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 25/09/2026You know you’re a retro gamer when the tiny background rainbow that kinda-sorta looks like the LJN logo is what catches your eye in a train station ad. 170
Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Just saw this, and I’m so sorry to hear they’ve let you go. If there’s anything I can do to help with anything, just ask. 120

Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 21/09/2026I hate the only way I can keep my collection of officially licensed NES Batmen complete is to pay more than I did for these combined, for like 1/8 the plastic. 010

Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 11/09/2026So true! I mean…it’s really hard to recommend to a modern gamer today. But it was very much a “founding father” of superhero games, and arguably even gaming in general. Essential Mt. Rushmore material! 😀 110

Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 22/08/2026I think so! It’s basically just “what if Jurassic Park showed up in a 1982 neighborhood?” While not overly bloody, it also doesn’t hold back on dinos munching on people—especially in one scene—so keep that in mind. But 12YO has probably seen worse. It’s more visceral than JP in that regard. 100

Chris Baker @cbake.bsky.social · 19/08/2026…it was cool to see the Injustice games absolutely nail what a story could be in a fighting game.
