L.A. Witt's TOUGH CALL - a romance between a hockey player and a ref had potential for the kind of angst I like getting my teeth into, but proved to be surprisingly (and unfortunately)... toothless. All very low-angst and low-key, there's not enough plot to fill the page-count. #mmromance…

Beth Bolden's ETHAN, #1 in her new Hockey Bros. series was a real struggle, despite the excellent narration by Darcy Stark - it's a rare DNF for me, too bland, too uneventful, too long, and more like a no-burn than a slow-burn. #mmromance #romancelandia #audiobook

Curiosity might just kill Gabriel Karne after all. A seemingly innocent peek into a stranger's background, and Gabe is knee-deep in murder. Again. Roy Wilson, the exceedingly dead Westfort pastor, had more enemies than friends. Was the old man a bad guy turned good? Or was he, as Gabe and Elton suspect, still deeply involved in the illegal underbelly of Twana County?

Audio Review: OCEAN'S ECHO by Everina Maxwell, expertly narrated by Raphael Corkhill. This intriguing, clever, tightly plotted space opera features intergalactic political shenanigans - def. sci-fi with romantic elements, but the romance permeates the story. #romancelandia #mmromance

Audio review: MY KIND OF GUY by Sarina Bowen - a cute, sexy grumpy/sunshine romance between a single dad & a vibrant hockey player with no filter. Nothing new here, but the narration is excellent with Teddy Hamilton's star-turn as Beck a standout. #mmromance #romancelandia #audiobook

Once a top draft pick, he’s now riding the bench in the minors, one failed save away from being cut. The highlight of his week? A lonely hour on a barstool at Sports Balls, Denver’s queerest watering hole—and Forest, the bartender with flannel sleeves, a gruff voice, and a beard that stars in Beck’s dreams.

FATHER MATERIAL by Alexis Hall: Luc & Oliver are back, happilt settled and thinking about what's next. Full of AH's typical humour, sharp observation and mix of the ridiculous & the profound, it covers some heavy topics but leaves the guys in a good place & delivers a funny, emotional send-off.…

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes...what was that, exactly? Luc and Oliver have been through it all: fake dating to save Luc's career, I-guess-this-is-actually-for-real dating when all of that blew up spectacularly, (briefly) breaking up over irreconcilable differences, (definitively) getting back together over perfectly reconcilable everything else, (almost) getting married, (finally) moving in together, and ultimately celebrating years of perfect domestic bliss.

Truth is murder. Bitter and disillusioned, Niall Hamarsson officially quits everything and retreats to the only place he's ever called home, Piedras Island. His plan for the future is vague, but other humans aren't included. Apparently, 'no humans' doesn't extend to Mat Dempsey. Mat Dempsey is a glass-half-full kind of guy. He returned to Piedras after the death of his father, who'd been the sheriff for years.

Audio Review: HELL OR HIGH WATER by @bethboldenauthor (& narrator Darcy Stark) delivers a long-awaited HEA for fan-favourite Ramsey, who meets his match in a no-nonsense football player who won't fall at his feet. Loses momentum a bit in the 2nd half, but the chemistry is great and narration is…

Hell or High Water (Toronto Thunder #3) by Beth Bolden (audiobook) – Narrated by Darcy Stark
The night Nate Bishop met Ramsey Andresen, he didn’t know who he was. Didn’t know he was a hockey player. Didn’t know he’d be sticking around in Toronto. Most definitely didn’t know they’d hook up and Ramsey would walk right out of his life. Leaving him aching for more and hating that he can’t forget him. They meet again at a Thunder team party and Nate’s not only shocked by Ramsey’s presence, but the way he acts like he belongs.
