Start of the 2nd day of #CDSM23. Tom Dudda from TU Dresden presenting preliminary results of a study (w/ Lars Hornuf) on the use of ML methods in top business and econ journals (FT50). On average, there seems to be relatively little gain in terms of accuracy compared to traditional benchmark models.
