I checked with my sons coach "we do not have a game on Halloween" and there will not be make up games that day. So he and I are going on a group float Halloween morning down the Dawson Forest section of the Etowah. If they end up having a game he will miss it.

I saw of the Book of Faces that the RNLI Seahouses inshore lifeboat (a massively overpowered RIB boat staffed by volunteers to my US friends) had a double call out today. One to Budle Bay to two people cut off by the tide (it moves FAST) on a sandbank. One to the Lindisfarne causeway.

Always have loved the film, enjoyed the kick ass music, and was lucky to be at university when Blues Brothers tribute bands were 10 a penny. As a post-doc I also duoed at a talent show with a friend to Everybody needs someone to love. This film is a core memory.

To explain that bump: The Ishtar gate gives 100 bonus Culture in all cites on completion. This bump gave 4 of my cities an increase Culture level, plus the 2 VPs for the wonder itself. of the 18 VPs to get the double victory (Rome was 2nd at 9), 6 of them came from that one event.
