Excellent. First time I saw it I hated Gray but love him and Deacon now. Glad you both got something out of it!

Assume you mean B’lands and not Brood? If so yay! If it’s of any interest l thought it was rather average on first viewing but it’s really grown on me with subsequent watches.

Modern version of True Grit is worth a watch too.

Between Halloween and Christmas but Chrimbo edges it for me! If there was a full on Autumn Road combining both I’d take that in a heartbeat.

Firstly #uno game #unoflip is great (plays great with 2 and 3). Secondly when my daughter deals (7 cards per player) she doesn’t count out the deal 1,1,1,2,2,2 etc she counts the deal out 1,2,3,4,…21. I’ve been playing cards for over 40 years and never come across a deal like that! Nuts! Bless her!🤣

Only film rented from the video shop a long (ahem) time ago and when it had finished I rewound it and immediately watched again. Never done that since. Fantastic film that funnily enough I’ve not seen for an age so will rectify that shortly. Cheers.

Share a SCARY movie title that begins with the letter “B” 🎥 One I’ll continue to champion at any opportunity. The Borderlands.

I’ll confess I haven’t watched it all (by thanks for sharing) but pretty sure I recognise that church and hill! West Ogwell (from memory) and The Borderlands yes? Fab if so! Egg on my face and embarrassed if not! Regardless is this worth a proper watch?

Another crazy quiet week with only 2 watches. Very poor form. 1) Pet Sem. 👟 Flawed but still dark and shocking. 2) Verity 📝 Quite frankly rather pants. 3) The Matrix 🖥️ Still class and 4) Resi Evil 🧟 A fun time! #letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched #filmsky 🎥

Rewatched Pet Sematary (‘89). Wow that film is dark! Certainly has a few flaws (and Zelda really freaks me out) but it’s a great little horror with a phenomenal performance from Miko Hughes as Gage and Fred Gwynne is ace as Jud. Also best genuine head bang scene in films when Louis falls out of bed.

Bit of a guilty pleasure this one for me! I also think Snipes as Simon Phoenix is a great villain. Massive props to his line in the cryo prison… ‘Jeffrey Dahmer? I love that guy!’ Considering JD was a real serial killer is unarguably in terrible taste but does make me chuckle. 🤭

He’s such a distinct actor I love him. I love that of all his roles you honed in on Planes, Trains…. One of my favourite films with great tiny parts from loads of actors with Dylan arguably the best. ‘Her first baby. Came out sideways. She didn’t scream or nothing!’ 🤣 How we miss John Hughes! ❤️

Funny isn’t it. I thought it was quite meh the first time I saw it but I’ve enjoyed it more and more each time. Horses for courses eh?! Keep up the good work with the pod. It’s one of my faves. Despite the occasional incorrect opinion! 😀

I saw it ‘live’ too back in the day and luckily for me a friend taped it and we saw it many more times. I now have several copies of it on various formats (as does said friend) and despite us being about 100 miles away from each other we still undertake a coordinated watch every Halloween! Love it!

Ghosts of Mars. JK. It’s a hard choice between Halloween and The Thing. If I was tied to a couch where I didn’t want to spend the rest of the ******* winter with a gun to my head I’d have to opt for The Thing. It also includes excellent dog acting as a bonus.

Just finished #residentevilrequiem. Yet another fantastic modern RE experience. Possibly not quite on a par with 7 and 8 but even when Capcom aren’t up to their own excellent standards they’re head and shoulders above most of the competition. Leon remains my fave RE hero.

Afraid it’s not my bag. It isn’t the lack of MM but the odd combo of science and horror which I struggle with. No idea why as no reason these two genres shouldn’t be bedfellows but it just throws me a bit. It’s the same reason I’m never sure if I think Carpenters Prince of Darkenss is great or not.

Matrix 4.5 🤖/5, Resi 4 🧟/5, GWH 4 ➗/5 and HotB 3.5 🐶/5. Enjoyed them all.

Love it when I really connect with a game and I’m not worried about it outstaying its welcome and too many side quests (I get bored easily) and get excited for my next session with it. #residentevilrequiem is currently that game. All the modern Resis are a class above in my view. Long live Capcom!

While initially it seemed like an excuse to get Garner into as many different outfits / hairstyles as possible it turned into a really good show. Rather ‘jumped the shark’ badly later on if I recall but still very slick, twisty and entertaining. I’ll likely rewatch one of these days.

While Mario Kart was great fun there was nothing then and arguably nothing now that beats the ridiculous levels of entertainment and hilarity of Goldeneye. 4 player local MP was an utter joy and even thinking about it brings a smile to my face. Odd Job is not permitted though as unfair advantage! 😀

#residentevil film. Great fun. I don’t like my horror gory these days but I’ll let this one off for sheer entertainment! Abrams was ace, great scares, funny moments and plenty of nods to the games. Best Resi game adaptation that never was. I’d play the game adaptation of this film in a heartbeat!
