and from the looks of it, @krita.org has plans to do what Musescore did and replace the Qt Widgets dockers with QML. Definitely a tightrope walk but it can provide some huge UX wins if pulled off just right.

"This year, we intend to work on replacing the tool option dockers with QML so we can use those both in the mobile and in the desktop version of Krita."

Also, i've been in the weeds of reading up on the development histories of Audacity and Musescore now that MuseGroup launched Audacity 4.0 and I was like "hey wait a minute... Krita uses Qt widgets!"

The ones here that barely crack below $200 are Vizio (now owned by Walmart) and a few chinese brands (Hisense, Insignia, TCL) with Roku as their OS. That said, they're also pretty cheap LCD panels with tinny speakers and backlights that turn the whole picture blue, but a TV is a TV.
