I bought a video game on its release date for the first time in my life! It's Dressmaker on Steam and it's pretty much what it sounds like. Designing and making dresses more than shop sim and I'm loving it. I can feel the spark to pick up my sewing machine again. ✨ #indiegames 🎮 #crafting #sewing

Watching a playthrough of Directive 8020 🎮 has been my 3rd recent visit to a fictional sci-fi world and I have so many thoughts. Putting it into conversation with Death of the Author 📚 and To Be Taught, If Fortunate 📚, is so interesting considering their wildly different approaches to space travel.

I'm reading Olga Dies Dreaming and just realized that this is the second book I've read recently that alludes to the main character's death, Death of the Author being the first... Do I have a type? Is the cooler weather bringing out my morbid side? Who's to say? 📚💙 #reading #scifi

To Be Taught, If Fortunate: such powerful themes and emotions evoked in the small package of a brilliant novella. This story took me to space and I can't say that I want to come back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🚀📚💙 #scifi

I've been reading "To Be Taught, If Fortunate" as an accidental follow-up to Death of the Author. I picked it up as a big Martha Wells fan, but I found that it has some great parallel themes with Zelu's desires to visit space. It feels that as Zelu launched into space, I stayed up there. 📚💙 #scifi

While finishing Death of the Author, I was deciding my final verdict on the story. There was great character moments and I enjoyed learning about Zelu's experience not having the function of her legs--functionally and culturally--but the pace dragged a bit. However, the ending blew my mind. ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ 📚💙

Now that I've heard of the sub-genre "lit-RPG", I'm super intrigued. I thought I'd be left behind with the Dungeon Crawler Carl stuff as I'm a D&D obsessed girlie without any interest in the series... But now I have a new rabbit hole to go down. 🤓 If you have any recs PLEASE share! 📚💙 #litrpg

Fury Bound (book 2) is such an amazing popcorn read. The pace is unrelenting and the steamy build up between Meryn and Stark has me gagged. Still surprised I'm into a book with "alphas" and "betas" printed on the page tho 😆📚💙 #romance #romantasy

Last night I stayed up to finish The Bookshop on the Shore. I just couldn't put it down! It seems like it will be more of a light romance read, but the character depth adds so much life to the story. There's surprisingly intense themes with the children that felt meaningful rather than trite. 📚💙

What some call "unused land" is often the last safe haven for countless living creatures. Wetlands are not empty spaces waiting to be developed. They are nurseries for birds, natural water filters, flood defenses, and wildlife habitats that cannot be replaced once lost.
