setting up a tablet for my grandmother rn - theres a setup screen where it tells you what apps will be installed - at first it shows Google Heartbeat Tracker or whatever, but if you scroll down, it also tries to auto install a bunch of games and *tiktok???* what??? im not putting my grandma on reels

in the free time I've managed today, I started petal crash 2 - I'm not sure I'll be able to really get on the "Improving My Skill Level" puzzle train (its the kind of abstract skill that I struggle with), but it does feature a 2 piece mix and match naming system. so I have to at least play for that

taking a 3D modeling class for university - it's teaching me a program I will lose access to after the course ends, and a lot of the lecture time is spent on showing us stuff thats not really pertinent, but the actual process of figuring out a shape always has me going fuckkk dude im so competent

had an extremely strange experience where I jolted awake and was convinced that something terrible would happen if I didnt jump out of bed and get the lights. as I was doing so, my vision was "shutter-y?" until a few seconds after the lights were on. i immediately forgot whatever dream prompted it

i am reminded of how as a kid I was very convinced of what "it's a long way to tipperary" sounds like. I think one time ever I heard what it actually sounds like - completely differently, of course - and was so repulsed that my imagination wasn't completely accurate that I immediately forgot it

been reading through some peanuts anthologies - this is bad for my productivity, but good for my mental health, and I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be a good tradeoff as a kid my favorite was marcie, and that still holds up today, but rerun's kind of awesome. i never saw much of him as a kid
