"It's so easy you don't even have to write it down. It's a cuppa flour, a cuppa sugar, a cuppa fruit cocktail with the juice... and you mix and bake at 350 to a golden bubbly. Sounds awfully rich, it is, so I serve it over ice cream to cut the sweetness."

This Volvo is a special edition called “The Canadian” to appeal to its newly adopted market. Built in the Dartmouth plant, it was donated to the Nova Scotia Museum in 1967.
A wide-angle photograph from inside the passenger cabin of a classic black car, believed to be a Volvo Canadian, currently on display within a museum exhibit setting. The interior is characterized by vibrant, eye-catching red upholstery, most notably on the bench-style front seat and the door panels, which contrast sharply with the dark dashboard and floor. The large, black, thin-rimmed steering wheel is visible on the left. Through the open driver's door and windows, other museum exhibits can be seen in the background, including a large blue panel and black and white photographs. A dark-colored seatbelt is pulled across the red seat in the right foreground.

Last week, the EU model was forecasting over 100mm for the following 5-6 days. Halifax peninsula (including my place) had over 50mm Saturday night. The EU model had upped the projected rainfalls for later this week, with a couple of bulls-eye areas over SW NS and HFX over 100mm. Stay tuned...

Some ships are historical artifacts. CSS Acadia is a legend. Launched in 1913, Acadia is the only surviving vessel to have served the Royal Canadian Navy during both World Wars and the only vessel still afloat today that survived the Halifax Explosion. #BuiltDifferent #CSSAcadia #NovaScotia
The historic white vessel CSS Acadia docked at the Halifax waterfront on a bright, sunny day. In the foreground, colorful red, yellow, and blue chairs sit on a weathered wooden boardwalk. The ship features a riveted hull, tan masts, and a cream-and-pink superstructure, with modern high-rise buildings visible in the background under a clear blue sky.

Some of the most significant artifacts and records related to RMS Titanic can be found in Nova Scotia. The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic has what is generally recognized as the world's finest collection of wooden artifacts from the vessel.
An indoor museum exhibit titled "TITANIC" features a detailed scale model of the iconic ocean liner enclosed in a glass display case. The model showcases the ship's four yellow funnels, black hull, and red keel.

What do you get when you combine a photosynthesis-challenged fungus with a sugar-producing alga? Lichens – in this case, the British soldier lichen. Look at this beautiful Lorenzen model and you are immediately struck by the bright “Redcoat” colour that inspired the lichen’s name.
